A small town becomes ground zero.

Chapter 1 by Gabbhakk Gabbhakk

"Johnathan.... Johnathan..... JOHNATHAN!!!!"

I woke up and got to my feet, shocked and tired. I looked around and found my mother yelling at me to get up.

My mom, Elizabeth is a dark brown haired, 35 year old woman with two kids. Johnathan, and Rebecca.

Rebecca is my sister, who turned 18 a few days ago. She is small. Five-four and less than 150 pounds. She has dirty blonde, straight hair that she likes to make flow down her back.

I glance at the clock right as it turns 7:34, 15 minutes before school. I wake up a little more and start to panic. "Sorry!" I say as I rush towards the bathroom to hurry and make myself look presentable.

I stop to look in the mirror. ,I see a five-eleven and two hundred pound man with slightly short brown hair and glasses.

I stop looking in the mirror and get in the shower. I just use a little soap so I'm not late and quickly wash. I hope out of the shower and barely use a towel, preferring to air-dry to save time.

"Bye mom!" I yell as I run out the door. "Have a goo-" is all I hear from my mother as the door closes. I run as fast as I can and just barely catch the bus.

I get on the bus and start walking down the aisle. After most of my life riding the bus to school, I know where to sit. If you sit in the front, you're new or labeled a nerd. If you sit in the back, you have to be popular or be picked on through the bus ride. Lastly, the middle.

The middle of the bus is a sort of safe zone. If you sit farther in the middle, you can be left practically alone. So I choose to sit in fifth seat from the back.
