A Deciding Duel

I take out my Dark Boots, Dark Claws, Flame Horns, and Annihilation Wings. I activate the Sword of Annihilation and my Chaos Mantles ability as Prims raises his hand.

"Three... Two... One... Begin!" Prisma shouts. I feel my Ancient Thought Acceleration start, fortunately, my passive skills still work. I can see Ayashi rushing toward me. Her feet are enveloped in a familiar blue energy. She's a tad blurry but I'm glad I can still see her. I Observer her quickly, just to double check her HP. She's got 150,000 HP. This is gonna be rough. I think while pulling my sword back. Ayashi continues rushing me and I swing it wide. She jumps up before it hits her. She only jumps high enough to dodge it and continues her attack. She pulls her fist back and goes to punch me. Before she can, I cast Annihilation Energy. I make the energy making up my sword's blade change. I turn its tip into a jaw. I make it bend and bite down on her ankle with its razor-sharp teeth.

I make the jaw toss her back before returning to its regular blade. I know from Prisma's practice with the Sword, that when I use Annihilation Energy to change the shape of the blade. That the damage done is determined by the Spell and won't get the 10,000 damage from the Sword. Ayashi reaches down while a few feet above the ground and a large red ghostly hand appears. It grabs the ground and she pulls herself down. She stops just a few feet from me and looks up. I rush her this time, readying my blade to attack. I sense her cast a spell as a large red ghostly circle appears next to her. It latches onto her arm and looks just like the hand from before. I swing my blade into it and cut straight through it. She reaches her free arm up to catch my blade.

Ayashis face twists with pain and surprise as she jumps back.

"How did that hurt so much!?" Ayashi asks herself while looking down at her injured hand. It's glowing like Veronas was. She pours mana into it to repair it.

"It's because Eric's powers do much more than you thought." Prisma says causing her to look at him.

"How so?" She asks and Prisma turns to me.

"Ayashi, remember when my Life Flame blinked? That's because I died. I got my heart ripped out of my chest." I say while lifting my shirt up and showing her my scar. "Immediately after, I used a spell to regain some HP. My powers kept me alive despite not having a heart. It did hurt like all hell though." I say causing her to look at me dumbfounded and surprised. She takes a deep breath before regaining her composure.

"I have several questions that we will go over later." She says and I nod. She readies herself before rushing me once more. I use the flat side of my Sword to block her fist. As soon as I feel her fist connect I see her swinging her leg. She kicks mine out from under me before I can dodge. She grabs my wrist, on the hand holding my Sword, and starts to toss me. I reach out and start Multicasting as many Mark Of Annihilations as I can. I'm not sure where they are, but by the time she lets go, I know I've placed five on her. As I tumble through the air, I sense a spell activate right where I'm heading. I see a large spiral of raging wind. It looks like a blender but made of wind blades instead of metal. I use Annihilating Energy to make my wings grow. I make them envelop me like a cacoon as I go through the wind.

Fuck! She did that much damage through my wings 75% magic reduction. She would've done 3,276 damage! That's over half my HP! I think before stopping and looking up. I see her a few feet away getting ready for another attack. I cast Annihilating Strike and rush her. I jump over her punch and swiftly bring my blade down onto her shoulder. She raises her hands to guard before remembering how much damage it did last time. She tries to dodge, but is too slow since she first tried to block.

What the FUCK! I think before landing behind Ayashi. She jumps forward, in the opposite direction of me. She turns and places her hand on her wound. Where there should be blood, is a glowing white hole. She pours mana into it and her body repairs itself. However, upon Observing her I can see it didn't heal her.

"You look surprised Eric. Did you not know about how weak Mythos are to that Sword?" Ayashi asks and I hesitantly shake my head no. "Well, it's because that Sword destroys our bodies. It hurts worse than I can describe. But it also destroys all mana. Honestly, it's not an overstatement to say that most magic is futile to use against it. You can cut through it all. It's that Title though, King of Annihilation that's so terrifying. You can use all Schools of magic without restriction. And you get to wield that Sword. You even have resistance to all magic. With the proper training, you could conquer the world in a day. You'd be able to slay every Guild and governmental body." She says before Prisma interrupts.

"Let's keep this rolling." Prisma says and we each nod. I've been using the Sword for nearly three minutes, I'd like to finish before seven minutes so Prisma can heal me. But I'm going to go until fourteen minutes if needed.
