Aelita wakes up somewhere new

It took a long time but as sunlight shone on her face and light warmed the room and noises slowly got louder, Aelita was drawn out of her sleep powder induced sleep. She rubbed the sleep out of eyes and stared at the blurry moving blobs to her left and right.

“Aelita! You’re awake!” Someone cried to her left. This triggered a memory of what happened when she was being escorted to a panic room.

“No!” Aelita shouted as she shot an electric bolt at the nearest blob. The blob flew back and hit the nearest wall with an ‘oof’.

“Ah! James!” Another blob cried as she flew to the first blob. A pink blob also ran to the first form.

“…James?” Aelita mumbled as she fully woke up. Her vision cleared and saw that she was inside an unfamiliar infirmary and you were sitting against the wall with Starfire and a Doctor Joy checking on you. “James!”

“I’m just winded.” You groan as you got up with shaky legs. You look at Aelita with loving eyes. “My elven princess, I’m so happy to see you again!”

“I’m so sorry,” Aelita said.

“It’s okay, I believe it was the ‘love tap’,” Starfire said pacifyingly. “He will be okay.”

“Grass types are resistant to electric types,” Doctor Joy said half jokingly.

“It’s fine Aelita, I know it was accident though I think you will only be allowed two hour cuddles instead of three for now,” you tease as you walk over and touch foreheads with her while hugging her.

“What happened last night? Did someone stop Blackfire and the others? And where are we?”

“Well, once I got back…” you gave her an overview involving the clean up after Blackfire, the PWBI confrontation with Phil and the search across town for her. You even mentioned briefly about your adventures in Trash World. After just over an hour of talking, you had finished your tale.

“Only you could find an Amazon Tribe in the trash, at least they didn’t give you the kiss of marriage this time,” Aelita chuckled recalling that incident.

“The doctors said you would wake up on your own and transferred your care to Auntie Joy,” you finished explaining.

“Other than some tiredness, there appears to be no side effects of the sleeping powder used,” Doctor Joy reported.

“We are at your parent’s mansion aren’t we?”

“Yup, after Blackfire’s rampage and the incident with Hulk Hinata, who is being restored by Rein Corp by the way, the house was a little too broken. By the way, I have Ahsoka and the maids gathering up what can be saved and making sure no salvagers get any ideas.”

“Good idea. You know the Callaghan’s wanted my computer for their child. They would’ve jumped at the chance.” Aelita and you shared a smile as you recalled what happened that neighborhood party.

“So we are going to be staying in one of my parents’ guest houses,” you inform her.

“How nice of them to let us stay with them,” Aelita said.

“It would let us keep watch on the venue,” Starfire commented, surprising you with the sinister looks both of your fiancées gained.

“Right…” you say. You shook your head, deciding it was best to move along. You look at Doctor Joy, “is she good to get up? I think she should go meet some of the ladies who helped me out.”

“She should be fine,” Doctor Joy replied before addressing Aelita. “If you experience dizziness or light headedness, please let me know and I’ll come right away.”

“Do you wanna rest or see the others?” You ask.

“I think I’ve rested enough,” Aelita said as she moved her covers off revealing that she was wearing a set of her silk pajamas. You helped her get to her feet and Starfire locked arms with her.

“You are going to love friend Ranko and friend Mirajane,” Starfire said happily.

“And Yunyun,” you say, recalling that the poor Crimson Demon was found locked in your trunk when you started loading it up with your stuff last night once your mom told you to start moving luggage over.

“I can’t wait…”
