Chapter 179 by Leoblade24 Leoblade24

What is on James schedule?

An encounter with Momma Daisy

It didn’t take long to take Aelita through the guest house despite it being much larger than your own house (if you discount the basement levels and the recent dimensional expansions to the harem rooms). The dining room itself could hold twice the number of your characters and the gaming room is divided between a mini movie theater for a main screen and half a dozen tables for board games, card games, and a bunch of other games.

There were more than enough rooms for everyone as each guest house is meant to house guests and their servants and characters. Though you wouldn’t know that with how cluttered it was with boxes. Except for a few hours of sleep you got while waiting for Aelita to wake up you and the rest of your harem have been packing up your house and bringing stuff over to the guest house. Your stuff was either getting left in the hallways or put away in a large storage container that your dad ordered the Toads to bring over.

“Careful with those, I can’t remember if I set their safeties,” you say as you helped Suki with a box of your collectable weapons. You set the box in an empty sitting room that was functioning as a backup collection to keep them safe.

“Thanks I guess, why are we bringing all your stuff over anyways?” Suki asked as she went for another box.

“It's so no thieves are tempted to sneak in and take things that are not theirs,” Starfire explained. “And so nothing goes the missing when workers fix the damage.”

“My brother Perry spent two years fighting a construction company when one of their characters pocketed half his transformer collection when he wasn’t looking,” you explain, before clarifying. “The actual toys, not the characters.”

“Oh, I remember that,” Aelita said from the seat she was taking a breather in. “He was expanding his room to start filling it with actual transformers wasn’t he?”

“Yup, he also wanted the collection to be magic free since he bought into the ‘magic affecting their value’ stuff his toy broker convinced him of,” you replied. “The guy was just trying to sell that fake magic remover he was selling.”

“Cuddlebuggie! Where are you?!” You suddenly hear from downstairs.

“In the sitting room Momma!” You shout back.

“Which one? The Séance room with the crystals or the incense room?!” You look around the room and see a shelf with some containers of powder.

“Incense room I think!” It took a few minutes but your mom, the lovely Princess Daisy, arrived in the room and quickly squeezed the air from your lungs. She quickly let go of you and went to fuss over Aelita and Starfire.

“I’m so happy you are alright,” Daisy said as she embraced Aelita and swung her around a bit. She then set Aelita down and glared at you with her hands on her hips. “You said incense room, this is the old makeup room.”

“Sorry?” You say unsurely. She rolled her eyes goodnaturedly and smiled at you. When she heard what happened last night she had immediately driven over with your aunties and an army of Toads to help pack up your things. She didn’t even accept your attempt to get a hotel for your and your harem.

“I hope your harem is enjoying this guest house, I know it's only the fourth biggest but the others are full from wedding guests. I hope it's not too small.” She said a little concerned.

“It's bigger than my house,” you replied reassuringly.

“Oh right, I forgot you were only using your Rein Corp and gambling money,” Daisy said. Her eyes then brightened. “Oh…let me practice my speech.” Her voice gained a bit of poshness. “‘You were living as a poor plebeian.’ Those snotty nobles really are something.” She laughed before explaining. “Your father and I are going to be playing as victorian nobles on our next vacation. We’re going to see how many ‘mistresses’ we can have ‘appear’ before the local royals sanction us. I’m hoping for quite a few juicy rumors.”

“Give us some of the best reactions,” you say, recalling some of your parents, aunties, mommas and Uncle Hoss’s prank vacations. StarFleet still thinks that the Gardner Pirates are the mirror-verse evil versions of your family.

“Will do,” Daisy said as she slowly stopped her little laugh.

“Have fun on the vacation,” Aelita said while Suki moved a heavy box inside the room.

“Why were you looking for James?” Starfire asks, reminding you all.

“Oh right,” Daisy snapped her fingers in remembrance. “I was wondering if I could get James' opinion on some of the decorations.”

“Which ones?” Aelita immediately asked with stark attention along with Starfire.

“The ones leading up to the venue, our supplier’s stock of mint green balloon arches were destroyed in a gremlin incident this morning,” Daisy explained nervously. “I wanted to know if we could switch back to the forest green arches.”

“But mint green would’ve been perfect for James! It's the color of his favorite pajamas,” Aelita exclaimed.

“Yaghovja Green would have been better,” Starfire defended, referring to a shade of green traditional on Tamaran. “And James does not have green pajamas.”

“Not his pajamas I was talking about,” Aelita said as angry sparks appeared between your two fiancees.

“Is it a bad time to mention that Walt is unsure he can get us more mustard cookies for the wedding? I mean we will have the mustard cookies from Dashing Dines but not the ones his Penny sent…” Daisy said quietly, immediately becoming the focus of Starfire’s ire.

“What! But those cookies are much more delicious and yummy!”

“Maybe we can have red velvet cookies instead,” Aelita said quietly.

“And deny my cookies?” Starfire asks. Aelita was about to reply but then you got between them.

“How about a compromise? Yaghovja green arches and red velvet cookies or Forest green arches and the Dashing Dines mustard cookies?” You suggest hopefully.

“No!” Aelita and Starfire suddenly shouted. You immediately pitied your harem who must have been experiencing such arguments while you were missing.

“Oh James,” Daisy said, catching your and your fiances’ attention. “The various tracks and sets are available right now.”

“What is she talking about?” Aelita asks you while Starfire got fiery eyes.

“The traditional (as of a few years ago) Gardner conflict resolution method,” you reply, recalling that Aelita has never witnessed one of these situations. “Are you ready for a party?”

What kind of party is James talking about?
