The Lioness

Chapter 30 by GamerChick077 GamerChick077

The lioness from before headed straight for us. I recognised it as the same lioness because of her scar on her face from the last encounter.

I had little time to react. I had seen the lioness running for me just a fraction of a second too late. Fortunately for me, Tarzan managed to push me out of the way and draw the lioness' attention to her.

The lioness and Tarzan circled each other slowly, their eyes locked on each other. Tarzan hissed at the lioness, growing, "Sabor."

The lioness responded with a growl. She looked over at me and Tank, and then at Glaze. It didn't take long for the lioness to realise which would be easiest to make its next meal. The lioness charged towards Glaze.

At this, I attacked the lioness.

Glaze scoffed at the display.

"What a show off," she grumbled to Tank.

"But Felix saved you, Glaze!"

"I coulda handled that on my own."

Tank rolled her eyes.

The lioness and managed to manoeuvre itself so that it was clinging to my back, its claws digging deeper into mic clothes and puncturing flesh. I slowly collapsed in a heap on the ground. I winced at my wounds I slowly looked up at Glaze.

The lioness slowly began to circle me. I raised myself slightly. Most of my shirt had been destroyed so I just threw what remained off. Within moments, the lioness charged at me again, roaring viciously and airing its long, white fangs. She clawed my chest, leaving a nasty scar.

Tarzan kicked the lioness out of the air and sent her flying into the trunk of a tree.

Tank and Glaze hurried to my side.

"What's the matter with you?" Glaze yelled, "You could've been killed!"

"What do you care?" I muttered quietly, "All you care about if taking me to some queen I've never met."

For a long, drawn out, tense moment, Tarzan and the lioness merely circled, their eyes locked on each other, the tip of Tarzan's spear pointed at the lioness. Suddenly, the lioness charged at Tarzan quick as lightning. Tarzan leapt backward in a dodge and continued to back away.

As the lioness slashed one claw fiercely at Tarzan, I ran toward her.

"Felix!" Glaze yelled." Whaddaya think you're doing?"

"I'm not gonna just sit here and let Tarzan fight by herself!" I told her firmly, "I don't leave my friends behind!"

The lioness had Tarzan pinned down. I reached into her mouth and grabbed one of her teeth. I pulled the tooth out and the lioness roared in pain before I stabbed her in the eye with it.

"Did you just pull a tooth out of the lioness?" Tank asked.

As me and Tarzan walked away, the lioness got back up and charged at us.

Glaze shot the lioness with a fireball.

The campgrounds looked as though it had been hit by a tornado. We got back inside the tent, Jane was gone.

"Hey, where's Jane?" I asked.

"Jane?" Tarzan called urgently, rushing forward and searching for traces of the young American woman, "Jane! JANE!"
