What's next?
Julien
Julien’s POV
He felt completely at fault for what transpired this night. Not only did he fail miserably at brightening up his best friend. He had potentially gotten the both of them into a lot of trouble. Julien had just calmed down after experiencing the events within the hall of blessings, he still couldn’t understand why someone so talented and smart as Thorjen had been resigned to such an unfortunate fate.
A small sense of loss had filled his heart. Thorjen wanted to spend some time alone, so all Julien himself could do was to watch the lonely back of his brother making its way towards the training halls.
‘I don’t know what else to do to help him. It doesn’t make any sense, when Thorjen was little they called him a genius! He could read the stars and predict calamities they said. So why-why were the guardians against him!’ Julien wasn’t the brightest Elf nor did he spend any sort of time reading about the guardians and their powers. But he had heard that those not chosen by the guardians were deemed unworthy.
‘It couldn’t be because he’s only half Elf?’ He sighed deeply and could only massage his temples unable to understand why Thorjen was unlucky. And at this rate his brother would be left behind once the envoy from the mainland Kingdom arrived shorty.
Julien found himself at his living quarters. His father’s pagoda was one with three floors and a large garden. Since it was nighttime he decided to make his way towards the gardens, and enter via the back gated entrance.
He snuck in carefully and made sure he was tip toeing across the slightly creaky floorboards. ‘Father should be asleep at this time’ he thought, so he cautiously made his way up the staircase and onto the third floor where he and his father’s room dwelt. Usually whenever his father was in Julien would use one of the empty spare rooms on the second floor. He didn’t enjoy hearing those loud noises the Elven women made whenever they spent nights with his father.
Julien had just taken a step onto the third floor when he heard voices which brought his feet to a complete stop. He looked down the darkened hall and saw a small mirage of light cut through the shadows. The source of light appeared from the slightly opened door to the left side of the hall, ‘f-father is home!’ Julien was poised to turn around when something familiar caught his ears. A sultry voice laced with anger.
“You don’t desire this?” He heard his father say
“Of course not! You’ve always had these weird tastes but for the sake of my son I’m willing to indulge you. That is after all our agreement.”
‘That voice…it can’t be can it?’
Julien found his fears drowned away and curiously crept closer towards the light. He placed his back against the wall and slowly peered into the small gap.
“You’re so incredibly alluring Eleanor! I would wage war against 100 kingdoms to have you in my arms.”
“Fufufu who wants a man stupid enough to shed the blood of many for the sake of pleasure?”
Julien felt his heart tighten once he finally laid eyes on the familiar voice inside.
A tall legged and tanned skin Elf, with lavishly long blonde hair stood in his plain view. She was perhaps the most beautiful Elf he had ever laid eyes upon, but considered who she was to his brother. Up until this moment Julien had never seen her in such a sensual manner.
Eleanor was standing a short distance away facing towards his father, she was wearing a thin see through gown which couldn’t hide her incredibly large breasts and alluring curves. Her twin peaks had created a noticeable tent beneath her gown. Julien could hardly contain his admiration whilst he scanned her entire body multiple times. He wanted to make a mental image of what he was seeing and never let it go.
‘B-but why is she and father…’
His father sighed deeply before lowering his head and rubbing his forehead. He looked to be quite stressed over something which was odd to Julien, considering such a beautiful Elven woman was in his presence.
“Take it off then.” His father ordered. Julien stiffened as his mind went blank to hearing that question.
Much to his surprise, Eleanor complied and very slowly started to remove the single piece of gown covering her golden smooth skin. Julien was shocked to see a slightly shy look across Lady Eleanors face. This was an Elf considered one of the strongest warriors to ever be born on the mountain.
To see a distinguished figure so compliant was creating something unworldly within his body.
The gown finally fell and a small gasp escaped his lips. Her large breasts were on full view. He could see a small patch of blonde just above her delicate spot between her legs. His father merely sat there, with his back turned towards him. Silent and unmoved. Julien felt as though he could understand it somewhat. Eleanors body was incredible. He even agreed with his father’s earlier words. He too would do unthinkable things to hold that body.
‘N-no…this is wrong. She is Thorjens…’ as soon as those thoughts entered his mind. The lonely back of his brother appeared in his thoughts.
“That’s enough you can get dressed.” His father spoke reluctantly.
“This would be the 4th time you’ve come here…if you detest me so much why do you continue to do so?” He heard the weak voice of his father say.
“I told you before. This is a transaction, I’m willing to let you see everything just as long as you give me what I want. But know this...you will never have my body” Her tone became colder. Julien was eagerly wondering what she desired so much.
He heard another deep sigh from his father.
“Your son…don’t worry I will make sure he’s chosen, I am a fellow of my word. Lady Eleanor, I do mean what I said to you. You’ve always captivated my heart, hence why I have never tried to touch you…”
“You couldn’t lay a finger on me even if you tried Razziel. You and I know that wouldn’t end well. Thank you for keeping your end of the bargain. I’ll be leaving.”
Julien quickly moved across the small gap and hastily shuffled his feet towards his room. He didn’t look back as he opened the door and softly closed it behind him. Making sure no sound was heard as the door locked into place. He took off his clothes and dived straight into his sheets. His curtains were yet to be drawn so the moonlight fractured through the opened blinds. His mind was like a torrent of mess whilst he lay there staring emptily towards the ceiling.
The alluring form of Lady Eleanor would always be imprinted into his mind. Yes! He knew that for certain but what he was also wrestling with was the understanding that she had done all of that for Thorjens sake. His heart pained at the realisation of that. The same way it pained him to realise Thorjen wasn’t chosen by the guardians. But Julien felt uncomfortable, he was willing to get into trouble for his brother. Hell, if he had a choice to give up his chance in going to the mainland because of Thorjen, he was assured he could probably do it. So then why had the scene of Lady Eleanors sacrifice hurt his heart so much. If the Elders found out his father had helped he knew his father was in trouble. And yet even that understanding didn’t bother him. He wanted to be glad Thorjen was being forcefully placed into the group of ascendants. So why wasn’t he?
‘ Threyja…Lady Eleanor…even my father now. We are trying our best to make sure you make it my brother…but is this truly the way? What if we are actively going against fate.’ Julien almost felt a cold shiver running throughout his body. It scared him to think that way considering how much strong feelings he had for Thorjen.
‘This is all too much for one day. I need to sleep.’
Julien eventually stirred around on his bed until he fell asleep.
Julien saw a cyan orb floating in the darkness. The orb split into five smaller orbs before circulating into a row, before materialising into a azure sword. The sword shone so brightly the darkness was lifted and now he was within a very expensive looking room. With gold and crimson furniture and a chandelier hanging from the ceiling. This room looked to be fit for a king! The size of the bed was also a giveaway this was for someone quite royal. The door opened and an incredibly beautiful Elf appeared, with golden curls falling against her smooth bronze skin.
“L-lady Eleanor!” He gasped. Julien couldn't believe his eyes, although he felt she looked a lot younger , and her style had changed, she wore hooped ear rings and a collar round her neck. But those two huge mounds of flesh were just as desirable as he remembered.
She was holding a deep cyan long robe over herself, and wearing a seductive smile whilst she walked towards him. He cautiously backed away before eventually stumbling onto the king sized bed. A playful smile appeared against her pretty mouth, she dropped the long robe and straddled him. Julien was at a loss as he suddenly found those heavy large breasts being pressed against him.
“Why do you look so surprised my King. You told me this is what you wanted.”
Julien was lost in whatever was taking place, he allowed those beautiful mounds to drown away his speech. He had never felt so aroused in his entire life, he forcefully pulled himself away momentarily. And looked up at those almond shaped eyes gazing upon him with wild excitement circling within them.
“This…th-this is wrong. I cant…you are Thorjens…”
He felt her slender fingers pressed against his mouth. Then she caressed his lips and slid the finger into his mouth. At the same time he felt her other hand rubbing the bulge beneath his pants, softly stroking his dick.
“Hmm your big friend here doesn’t seem to agree. And who’s this Thorken? King I am only yours.”
‘King! What the hell is going on’ just as he was poised to say more he suddenly felt a cold chill. He heard the sounds of bells chiming followed by a sea of screams. Julien struggled free from the intoxicated Lady Eleanors mount. He approached the curtains and eagerly peered through them.
He gasped once he saw a sea of destruction. The skies were orange with flames, and the roars of gigantic winged beasts echoed. Bodies and blood littered the streets, and amidst the tide of destruction he saw a shirtless figure with snow white braided hair, slowly walking towards him. In the figures right hand was a severed head, in his left hand was an obscene crimson sword with thousands of opened eyes covering it.
Julien felt a terrific sense of dread looming, he quickly turned around but discovered Lady Eleanor had gone. The door was opened so he quickly ran towards it. Once he passed through he found himself within a sea of white. An azure corridor appeared with the walls aligned with that cyan fire he saw before hand. He heard loud footsteps and turned on his heels. He saw the lonely back of someone he knew very well walking away.
‘“Thorjen? W-wait! THORJEN WAIT FOR ME DON’T GO IM SORYY!”
Julien chased after the departing figure. He took a few steps and found his vision swallowed in darkness again.
Once Julien awoke, he was covered in sweat and panting uncontrollably. ‘What the fuck…oh goodness it was all just a dream.’ But when had he ever dreamt something like that. He scratched his messy head and couldn’t help touching his facial features to make sure everything was ok. He sighed a breath of relief once he confirmed he was fine. Julien was about to move when he felt a wetness against his crotch area. Julien removed his covers and found himself looking at a very erect penis with what he could only make out as a white sticky liquid stained his entire pants.
‘You’re kidding me…’ his body had never reacted to anything like this before. He got out of his clothes and hastily made his way to the bath area.
1 hour later and Julien emerged from his room, he felt embarrassed and tired. He had just spent a lengthy period of time stroking his cock and ejaculating repeatedly until his throbbing cock finally died down. He had first thought someone had poisoned him, considering this wasn’t normal behaviour for him at all. That dream he had was also playing on his mind constantly.
‘I need to talk to father…’ he needed help and serious answers to his problems, ever since his blessing ceremony Julien was starting to feel things he had never felt before. Despite the not so perfect relationship he had with his father, Julien knew he was the only one who could shed some light on these issues. He made his way through his home and eventually found himself on the last floor of his father’s pagoda.
As he walked briskly across the redwood flooring , he noticed three peculiar elders dressed in silver robes, having a talk with his father just outside in the courtyard where the flowers grew. Julien quickly pressed his back against the wall and opened his ears. ‘Sigh…why is this becoming more and more the norm for me these days.’ He frowned towards the same coveted actions he was displaying again. Julien had always kept himself away from trouble as best as he could growing up. Thorjen and Threyja tended to be the ones who came with random adventures which nearly always had gotten them into spots of trouble.
‘I guess they’ve had more of an influence on me then I thought.’ He smiled weirdly once he thought of that truth.
“You are the unofficial but respected leader of the tribes. There shouldn’t be anything happening on this mountain that you don’t know about!”
“Elder Cynthiel is right! What we saw inside of the hall of blessing isn’t something we can simply ignore. I’m telling you Razziel, something sinister has appeared and you need to find it and destroy it!”
“Elder Alister is not wrong! What we saw can’t merely be described as a coincidence. The hall of blessing which has stood for decades has been contaminated! Only devils are able to contaminate the sacred tomes of our people.”
“There is a devil hiding on this mountain .”
“Find the devil Razziel.
After a brief pause, he surprisingly heard a rolling laughter from the mouth of his father.
“You elders are still the same. You always find ways to absolve yourselves from your own mistakes. Unlike you both respectfully I’ve not reached the stage of the heroic ranks. Sensing devils is not my forte!”
“How dare you..”
“Enough! Sigh…he’s not completely wrong- but as common with him he fails to show his elders the proper respect! I can only deduce from your lack of concern that you either foolishly don’t understand how serious this problem is, or…you already know what or who this devil is?”
‘Devil?’ The thought only created more confusions within Juliens thoughts.
His father didn’t answer to the elders. He only continued gazing towards the purple orchards in the near distance.
“I will realise the dream of our people. Don’t you worry about that.”
The conversation ended shortly after his father spoke those words. For a short while his father simply stood in the same spot. Seemingly staring into nothingness.
“If you desire to stay hidden, learn how to remove your presence entirely, that’s if you want to overcome your weaknesses.” Julien felt his heart stir, but since he had been found out there was no use staying hidden any longer .
Julien moved away from the wall and cautiously made his way towards the courtyard where his father stood. Julien felt the warm air bathing over him. The wind was soothingly cool this morning too. His father was dressed in one of his usual fitted robes with light leather’s underneath. He also carried his familiar dark sheath with a long sword resting on his hip.
He was well groomed this morning, with his black short hair slicked back. Julien was annoyed at himself, he was still nervous being around him. Even after being recognised as one of the most talented Elves ever, the only boy recorded in history to receive 5 blessings. Despite his maturity, and his growth during these last few years ,he still felt like a little boy in the presence of his overbearing father.
He felt a cold gaze sweep through him. One that swiftly arrived and left.
“You didn’t sleep well. What troubles your heart my son?” Julien swallowed the saliva stuck within his throat. He was used to the lack of concern laced within his father’s voice. But today his entire thoughts felt like a turbulent whirlwind.
“ I…I…ahem…since the blessing ceremony. I’ve been having…sigh… these dreams. And my body just feel so…hot all the time. Is this-is this normal?” His father never answered straight away. He was always like this, but today Julien felt slightly annoyed by his expressionless nonchalance.
“F-father?”
“There is a certain burden that comes with being chosen. It is one that you my son shall be **** to carry for the rest of your life. “
When a guardian bestows a single blessing upon someone they say a piece of their will is transferred over. A single blessing is burdensome enough , but five? Well let’s just say you better find a way to relieve yourself from the stress from time to time. But do not be afraid of it, we welcome the changes that come with the growth of power.”
Julien understood his father’s words quite well. He even felt an odd warmness flowing from his fathers words. One he hardly ever felt from him before.
‘If I failed to awaken any blessings , I wonder if he’d still be kind towards me.’ Julien made a wry smile. He already knew the answer to those thoughts.
“Your travels to the mainland will do you good, not only will you study underneath one of the most strongest human kingdoms. But you’ll also have a chance to earn favour from the crown. Your brother has already become a dependable knight, bringing great glory to our name. You my son, must do the same. “ Julien watched as his father placed and awkward hand against his shoulder. The contact made Julien stiffen a little, he could only relax a few moments later once the hand was removed. His father then took out a sealed maroon scroll and handed it to him.
Julien looked at scroll with wonder, he started to sense a slight eagerness within his fathers gaze. So he pried open the seal and unfolded the scroll. A host of names were written down, grouped into 5’s and aligned into a formation. Julien noticed his name had been written down in the second batch just behind the first group at the top. He could only scratch his helm as he pondered what this all meant.
“You’ll be placed in the second carriage once the envoys arrive. Get acquainted with those you’ll be travelling with. It’ll be a good chance for you to form small alliances before you reach the mainland.”
Julien nodded in understanding, he traced the list of names written down and held a slight breath once he found a name that stirred a mixture if emotion’s inside of him.
‘Thorjen…he’s seated on the last carriage. So its true he’ll be coming to the mainland as well..’ a gladness filled his heart as he could only imagine how happy Thorjen would be once he found this out.
“Father say about Thorjen, could he and I sit…”
“Enough about that damned halfling!” His father snapped, Julien unconsciously took a step away from him. His father seemed to have caught on to his sudden display of anger, and gently laughed to help dispel the awkwardness.
“Sigh…you need to stop worrying so much about that boy. Thorjen has his own life as you have yours. Do you think he’ll be there to guide you every step of the way in life? Do you want to be a burden upon someone who isnt even your blood? My son, you’ll learn a great deal about relationships once you spend enough time on the mainland. Humans aren’t like us, their customs are based on illusions created by mindless men. Betrayal, debauchery, schemes and wars. These are the dark virtues of humans. Thorjen will no doubt find his place with the humans, after all he shares their blood my son.”
Julien wanted to refute his fathers words, his mouth opened but then the arrival of a sudden visitor quickly silenced his own anger. Forcing him to merely stand still and keep silent.
“We will talk a little more before you go.” Said his father, Julien sighed before obediently nodding his head. His gaze traced the scroll once more. He noticed a name was missing.
“F-father why is Marco not written here?”
“Hm? Oh he left with his father to the mainland already. You’ll see him once you’ve arrived there.”
