What's next?
Dinner And Plans
I spend a while resting in the spring, lost in my thoughts. Now that the Demon God is dead, I don't have to worry about him or the Devils coming for me. Now all I need to do is figure out how to beat Ayashi in our match. Not that I need to win, per say. I'm not completely against helping her. But it's too risky, uniting the two worlds. But what will I do once she's dealt with? My Guild doesn't really have any objectives. I know the Dryads want to talk about something. I guess we'll start with getting some new members. Then expanding on the new lands Asami's going to buy us. I'm so lucky I found her when I did. I don't know what I'd do without her. Literally, I have no clue how to go about buying land or buildings. Or contacting other Guilds and hiring them for repairs. I think with a small laugh before getting up. I dry off, using one of the towels the girls set out here. Fortunately, there are no bugs in my Domain. I do think about using Create Fire to dry myself. I feel like I've fully recovered. But I decided to wait until tomorrow before using magic, just in case. As soon as I get my clothes back on I see a pop-up saying Asami's calling. I take my phone out of my inventory and answer it.
"Hey Asami." I say as I start walking back.
"Master, dinner's done. Do you want to join us or are you wanting to spend some more time in the spring?" Asami asks, and I hear the sound of Luna and Innu sparring in the background.
"I'm on my way back already. I'll be there soon."
"Great, I'll see you in a bit Master!" She replies before hanging up. Before she does I hear her start to shout to Innu and Luna. I don't catch what she says though. I finish walking back and eat dinner with the girls. Ramia, Luna, Innu, and Asami are all here. Bergeth is training with the other Guilds. Apparently, Luna talked him into it. Eimbis and Barrai are eating outside. Since they've grown, they're much messier when they eat. So Asami moved their bowls outside. Verona and Gaia are meeting with some government officials at the Joint Guildhall. They're going over the battle with Kurdes and explaining what happened. I hear they planned to leave out me getting my heart ripped out. Normally they'd do that at our Guildhall, but since it's still unfurnished, they decided to do it at the others. It was Asami's idea. The officials from the government report everything back. A shabby Guildhall is seen as a sign of a lazy or incompetent Guild leader. So it'd just cause problems, even though we just got it repaired. After eating dinner the girls and I spend some time talking. Asami mentions that she's started the process of buying the land. Hearing this, Luna runs off to our room. She runs back out a moment later holding her Spatial Pouch. She pulls out a large sheet of paper, rolled up like a scroll. She unrolls it and set it on the table. I look and see it's a very crude design for an arena. She demands we build a training arena first. Innu, of course, jumps up and shouts her agreement. Asami and I quickly give in, and we polish her design. I'm actually really impressed with it. She doesn't have any of the measurements or anything like that. But she's put a lot of thought into how it would be, how many rooms for waiting or storing spare weapons. She even added a section for housing monsters. She pointed out that other Guilds use the arena to have their members slay monsters. It helps boost their confidence and it's much safer than having new members who've never fought a monster enter a Dungeon. The only problem is that it can only house weak monsters. I get an idea seeing it and tell her about my Greater Sealing magic. I say that we could make it a storage room for sealed monsters. Then I'd just unseal them in the arena. That way I'm close in case our members need help, and with Swap I could easily help them. She smiles and rewrites that room. After an hour of polishing, Asami makes her put it away. We go to bed and I lay down. I cast Visit Prisma before falling asleep.
"Eric, thanks for coming." Prisma says as soon as I appear.
"No problem. You wanted to talk about what Verona said right? About sparring with Ayashi and entering that Pact with her." I ask him.
"Yes, I do. Let's sit. This could take a while." He says stepping closer to me. As he does the water beneath me rises. It picks me up and carries me over to him. It stops and I look down to see it's taken the shape of a chair. Prisma sits in front of me and a table shoots up from the water between us. The table is made of water as well, but it's completely solid. I try running my hand through it, but I just hit that water that feels hard like wood. "Eric, do you think you could beat Ayashi?" He asks me and I sigh.
"I have no idea. I know she's insanely strong. But she's weak to Annihilation magic. If I master the Sword Of Annihilation then maybe? It's hard to say since I've never seen her fight." I reply and he nods.
"That's the only way you'd stand a chance. If we had about a hundred years you could easily become strong enough to match her without it."
"What about in here? Every hour is one second in real-time, right? How long would it take for a hundred years to go by here?" I ask and he smiles.
"One day is roughly ten years here. It's actually about 9.8 years, but it's close enough. So you'd have to stay for about eleven days to get a hundred years." He says and I sigh.
"So that's not going to work. Ayashi won't wait that long."
"No, but there's another option we could try. You just need to master the Sword in here. I can heal your mana circuits, as long as you don't spend more than seven minutes with the sword out."
"Good, let's get started!" I say while getting up.
"No. You're still recovering, we'll do it tomorrow night." He says causing me to sigh.
Now What?
