Skyler slowly turns on the soft bed. His eyes are still closed as the cool sheets brush against his skin. He groans lowly as his mind returns to reality. Aiko gasps before her voice softens. He blinks, not hearing anymore words. He slips out of bed and walks slowly over to the wall, gently pressing his ear against it. He could barely make out what Taki said next. "Mm, I'll have to thank Skyler for helping me realize the truth about myself..." Aiko lets out a hot breath. "Why is that, Miss Saito?"

Skyler could almost feel the smile upon Taki's face as the following words escaped her lips. "You see, his pretty and adorable rabbit form. Mm! ♥ It's cute like a girl. It got me so excited. He lets out a hot exasperated breath and gently slams his fists against the bed, causing them to bounce. He closes his eyes as he wipes away the tears again. 'It's fine. It doesn't matter. You know this. It'll be fine. You just forgot again. No harm done...' He tilts his head up and notices a book on the nightstand next to the bed. 'Hey... It's the book I was going to learn to help Ta... Miss Saito.' He reaches for it and pulls it close as the following notification appears in the center of his view.

Accept or Decline?

He smiled as he mentally hit, 'Accept'. When he did, as per usual, the world around him shattered into a million pieces. After a few seconds, the world began to reform. He was surprised to find himself at the base of a mountain with a long stairway leading into the mountain forest. It was an extremely long path, but he was certain that what he was looking for was at the end of these steps. At that moment, a new notification appeared.

Skyler felt a chill run down his spine. 'Ugh, I don't like heat...' He gently smacks his cheeks. "I am not looking forward to this." He felt the cool steps underneath his feet as he quickly walked up the stairs. That was when he realized that he had forgotten to grab his shoes. He let out a groan of aggravation before continuing his journey up those steps. It took about thirty minutes before he reached a Japanese style building. To his surprise, he didn't see steam anywhere nearby. 'Isn't there supposed to be a hot spring here?'

He felt a little apprehensive but knew this was going to happen regardless of what he desired. He slowly approached the building. As he reached the steps to the building, he was met by a Japanese gentleman in his late fifties. He had an oblong face, bushy round eyebrows, salt/pepper full mouth goatee, buzz cut hair, thin round framed glasses, and was clad in a reddish-brown monk robe. "I am Mikao Usui. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Peterson." Skyler cups his left hand over his right fist and bows slightly to Mikao. "The pleasure is mine, Mr. Usui. Is it safe to assume you know why I am here?"

Mikao chuckles with a slight nod. "Yes. Gaia has told me all I needed to know to help you on this journey. It has been quite some time since I had the pleasure of taking on a new student." Skyler blinks a few times. 'This conversation is a lot more normal than I expected.' Mikao glances down at Skyler's feet. "I see you were in quite a hurry." He gestures to a shoe rack nearby. "Please take a pair of shoes from here. When you do, follow me." Skyler takes a pair of slippers from the rack then follows Mikao inside.

Skyler looks around, noticing the iconic shoji screens and sliding doors as he follows Mikao down the hall. Mikao gestures toward one of the shoji screens to his right. "Do you know why we are here?" Skyler blinks before looking downward. "This place holds a significance to you?" Mikao slightly smiles. "Partly. This is a place of healing and where Reiki was bestowed upon me. Through my guidance, you will learn to balance your own qi and soon after, manipulate others."

Mikao slid open the door at the end of the hall and gestured for Skyler to go inside. "We'll begin here." When Skyler stepped inside, he was surprised to see that they were in front of a pool of water like you would find in an anime of a hot spring. Oddly enough, there was no steam rising from the water. "Are we going for a swim?" Mikao shakes his head ever so slightly. "No. These cool waters are meant to bring harmony to one's mind and body. Once you are clean, please step into the water."

Skyler nods, casting Clean on himself three times to make sure he was completely clean before unequipping his Ocean Wave Kimono and Slime Spectacles. 5 x 3 = 15, - 15 Mp He used a mental command to throw away what was collected from his body. Mikao disrobed as well before entering the water. Shortly after, Skyler entered the pool as well. The water was pleasantly cold, about sixty degrees Fahrenheit. Although Mikao looked at home, Skyler felt differently. The tension he felt could be easily cut with a cold butter knife.

Skyler was aware of the Japanese custom of skinship, but this was something that always made him feel on edge. Being naked around anyone, especially those of the same gender just felt wrong to him. Mikao's eyes were closed. "Just relax your mind and body. Feel the water around you." Skyler lets out a soft breath before closing his eyes. Within a minute of doing so, Meditation activated, increasing his health and mana regen by 300%. After about ten minutes of meditating in the water, he felt something click inside of himself. When he opened his eyes, he saw three notifications in the middle of his view.

Meditation has increased from level 1 to 2 - Hp and Mp regen while channeling has increased from 300% to 350% - Chance of gaining a new random skill has increased from 5% every minute while channeling to 5.5%.

Inner Focus has increased from rank 1 to 2 - Health regeneration has increased from .1% of maximum Hp per minute to .2%.

Remove all negative status effects from outside sources and restore 5% of your maximum health.

Cooldown: 5 minutes.

Mikao smiles. "Now for the hard part." He says while standing up, exposing his naked form to Skyler. Skyler looks slightly off to the side. 'Pun intended?' After they dry off and put back on their clothing, Mikao guides Skyler to another room where an elderly man is waiting. "You'll hold this man's hands and allow your qi to run through him. Once you've corrected his current ailment, your training will be complete." Mikao bows his head slightly to the elderly man. "I look forward to your recovery."

With that, Mikao's presence vanished from the room. Skyler looks around, but Mikao is nowhere to be found. 'Hmm, he is quieter than I am.' He takes the elderly man's hands and closes his eyes, trying to cause his qi to flow into the elderly man. However, it feels like there is a massive wall between them. 'Nothing quite as effective as self-study...' Over the next few months, he very slowly makes progress. During this time, he uses Refocus Qi, Clean, Flesh Light, Nocturnal Embrace, and True Enlightenment a lot. The following is the result of this effort.

Refocus Qi has increased from level 1 to 5 - Cooldown has been reduced from 5 minutes to 4 - Maximum health restored has increased from 5% to 9%.

Clean has increased from level 4 to 5 - Area cleaned has increased from 2.5 ft squared to 3 ft squared - Anything cleaned that cannot be used will automatically be destroyed.

Flesh Light has increased from level 1 to 3 - Light's range has increased from 10 yd to 12 - Initial mana cost and mana cost per minute have been removed.

Nocturnal Embrace has increased from rank 1 to 5 - Perception in the dark increase has been increased from 10% to 30%.

Nocturnal Embrace has evolved into Nocturnal Supremacy.

One month later, Skyler finally manages to break through the massive wall between himself and the elderly man. For that moment, he and the elderly man were one. Which was more enlightening than he had expected. He discovered that the elderly man had cancer, but with the help of rebalancing the elderly man's qi. He was able to remove the source of energy flowing to the cancer cells, thus correcting the ailment. At that moment, Mikao's voice whispered into his ear. "Well done. I have nothing more to teach you, Mr. Peterson."

The world around Skyler shattered into a million pieces before reforming into the room he had been in previously. He was on his bed and the book he had touched was no more. A notification appeared in the center of his view.
