Chapter 357 by voidcaller17
Well? What Is It?
A Pact
"You should duel her. Get Prisma to act as the referee. Since you want to stop her, but not kill her, you can enter a Pact. If you win the duel, the Pact will prevent her from trying to unite the Human and Lyna worlds. If you lose then you AND Prisma will help her fulfill her plan. I'm not too sure about this, but I imagine having Prisma help will make the risk for her worth it." Verona says and I think it over.
"Yeah, that could work. Thanks, Verona." I say causing her to smile proudly.
"Is that it?" Gaia asks and Verona turns to look at her.
"What do you mean?" She asks her.
"Do you think a Pact will be enough? It's possible she could break it." Gaia says and Verona thinks about it.
"Eric, could Prisma make a Pact?" Verona asks me and I shrug. "Next time you see him, you should ask. If he can, have him make it. I doubt even she could break a Pact from the source of all magic. But just in case, you can create a second Pact. This one could be made to kill her if she ever tries to break either of the Pacts."
"Will do. But there's another issue with this. What do you think Ayashi will do if I win?" I ask them, stumping them.
"Prisma said she had an **** desire to be in power right?" Gaia asks and I nod. "Then you should encourage her to remake the village. The one your race used to live in. The Primal Source could still use its protectors. I'm sure Prisma would help with this. Maybe he'd help her find other humans or Lyna to turn into members of your race. Then they could rebuild it. She'd be a Queen again and her desire to be in power would be fulfilled."
"That would work. You could even become a benefactor, so to say, of the village. You could provide resources and materials from Dungeons. I'm sure Ayashi used her Soul-Skill to buy supplies from humans. But she can't prevent Lyna from asking questions, so she couldn't go buying monster parts. I'm sure you could be of great help in that regard. Not to mention, it'll be a good way to keep an eye on her afterward. And if you ever have any kids that inherit your race, you can have them drink from the Primal Source as you did." Verona says causing Asami to start coughing and blush. Asami turns away from me. Before I can say anything, someone jumps on me from behind and hugs me.
"Good morning Alpha!" I hear Luna say behind me.
"Are they already delivering the furniture?" Asami asks as Luna lets go.
"Yep. Innu and Liz are bringing it in. I just came to tell you they were here." Luna replies causing Asami to stand up.
"I'll come help." She says and I stand myself.
"I'll help too." I say causing Amasi to look at me worriedly.
"Are you sure Master? I don't want you to push yourself."
"I won't. I'll stick to moving the lighter stuff. And if I start to feel tired I'll stop." I say and she sighs.
"Okay, just be careful." Asami says and I nod before petting her. Luna grabs us ad takes us with her back to the Guild Hall. We appear in a small room we decided to use as a maintenance closet. Luna opens the door and we walk to the entrance. I see the doors are wide open, and several large boxes line the walls. I see Innu walk in carrying in a large box, all on her own. She has her hands on its sides, taking small steps to avoid kicking it.
"Master!" She says happily when she notices us. She quickly sets the box down and runs over. "Are you feeling any better?"
"Yeah, I'm doing much better." I reply and she smiles.
"What are you doing here mister? You should be resting." I hear Liz say. She's walking in carrying a smaller box. It's about the size of my torso.
"He's here to help. Don't worry, he said he won't push himself." Asami says and Liz stares at me.
"Sorry Liz, but I'm not the resting type. I need to move around some." I say causing her to sigh.
"Fine, then come on. We still have a lot more boxes to move." Liz says while walking back out the door.
"Remember, no magic!" Innu says and I see Luna nodding quickly in agreement.
"I remeber, don't worry. Besides, I can't use magic now anyway." I tell them.
"You can still use your inventory though." Asami says and I nod.
"NO!" Innu and Luna shout in unision. Asami and I laugh as we walk out. I look around and see three large piles of boxes. They're six men unloading more boxes from three sperate trucks. Each truck is from a different store. There's a stack of boxes a few feet from the back of each truck. I help the girls start moving boxes from the first pile. Asami and I carry in a large square box, nearly as tall as I am, with the word Table on it. It's surprisingly light and we set it down against the wall inside. We head back out and continue moving the boxes inside.
"Why are we setting the boxes in here?" I ask Liz as I set down a small box with the word Chairs on it.
"So we can set it up and organize them. Since the doorways here are wide, for people with wings like Innu. We can easily fit the furniture through them. We might not be able to get the tables, but we can just remove their legs and carry them through." She replies as we head back out. I see the first truck is gone, and Asami is signing something from the guy at the second truck. The last truck seems to have just a few more boxes left. We quickly finish the first pile and move on to the second. I start to feel tired and Liz quickly notices. She drags me inside and makes me sit down. I decide to get started on assembling some chairs while I sit. I open the box and start taking out the pices.
