A Heart

"Master!" Asami nearly shouts once she sees me awake. She runs over to me with Innu close behind.

"How are you feeling?" Innu asks once she gets close.

"I'm okay. Sorry for worrying you." I reply and Asami flicks me on my forehead.

"You should be!" She says. Verona clears her throat after a moment getting our attention.

"I know this isn't the best time. But could you show me those memories now? I'm dying to know who you were talking about." Verona says and Asami looks at me confused.

"Asami, could you show Verona the memories I shared with you? The ones about Prisma. But don't show her Ayashi yet. I don't want to overload her with too much at once." I ask and she nods. She takes Verona's hand and closes her eyes. I see Verona's eyes widen in shock and surprise. She looks at me then Asami.

"I... Wh..." She says, unable to find her words right now. Gaia looks at her confused and turns to me.

"What did you show her?" She asks and I smile.

"It's hard to explain. But if you want, and if Asami agrees, she can show you them too." I say and Gaia nods. Asami takes her hand and shows her my memories of Prisma. Gaia looks just as shocked as Verona and I chuckle softly, remembering my own reactions to learning about Prisma.

"I think we need some time to sort this." Verona says standing up. I nod and she walks over to Gaia.

"Wait! What about his heart? You wanted me to remind you remember?" Innu says causing Verona to pause.

"Right. Thanks, I nearly forgot. Eric, what do you want to do with the heart Kurdes ripped out of you?" Verona asks me and I shrug.

"I don't know. Probably burn it or something?" I say and she shakes her head.

"I take it you don't know about our hearts then?" Verona asks and I shake my head no. "Lyna hearts contain large amounts of magic. They can be used in a variety of ways. But they've been banned by pretty much every country in the world. But you can still use a Gods or Goddess's heart, as long as they were a Dark God. We Light Gods actually encourage this, as long as we trust the ones who use them. But since your a, well your race. Your heart possesses as much mana as a Gods, maybe even more. And since it's not a Lyna's, no Sensor will be able to detect it. So you'll be fine to use it. I just don't know if you want to." Verona says and I nod.

"Then I guess I'll take it? I'll find some kind of a use for it I'm sure." I say and she nods. She reaches into the air and pulls out a white jar. The jar has several Runes carved into it. I take it and try to Observe it. As soon as I do a loud ringing sound floods into my ears. I double over from pain and Gaia grabs me. She pulls me up and casts a healing spell on me.

"Sorry, we haven't gotten to it yet. But you can't use any magic right now. Your Circuits have yet to fully heal. So if you cast a spell now, you'll feel a heck of a lot of pain." Verona tells me and I nod. I store the jar away, still able to use my inventory since it doesn't use MP. "Then Gaia and I will be in my Domain. I gave Asami my phone number, so she could tell me when you woke up. But if you need us for something just call. We'll be back sometime tomorrow to talk about this Primal Source." Verona says before disappearing with Gaia.

"What's a Primal Source?" Innu asks and I turn to Asami.

"Could you show them too?" I ask and she smiles.

"Gladly Master." Asami says before taking Innu and Luna's hands. She shows them the memories of Prisma and they turn to me.

"Does all the magic really come from a tree?" Luna asks and I laugh.

"Yes Luna. All the magic in the world originates from Prisma." I reply and she nods. They seem to take this much better than Verona and Gaia. Although, the two were never too curious about magic, so I doubt they really cared about learning this that much.

"Oh right! I need to text Hino, Myla, and Liz." Asami says while slamming her fist on her palm.

"Why do you need to text them?" I ask and she smiles.

"Because they're worried for you. We told them you got heavily injured and were recovering. But since they usually need to give people space when recovering, they haven't visited. But they wanted me to let them know as soon as you woke up." Asami says while pulling out her phone and typing a text. She pauses before sending it. "Master, should we keep the Primal Source a secret from them?" She asks and I think it over.

"Yeah, for now. We could tell Liz, since she is in our Guild. But I don't want to make Hino and Myla hide this from their Guilds. I'd like to tell them once we get everything sorted though." I say and she nods with a smile. She sends the text before setting her phone aside and hugging me.

"Master, are you hungry? I was going to get dinner ready once we got back from the Guilds." Asami asks and I nod.

"I'm famished. What're you making?" I ask and she smiles.

"I was thinking of a stew or some kind of soup. They're easier for you to digest." She replies and I nod. She stands up and disappears. Luna sits on my lap and buries her head into my shoulder. I start petting her when the door slams open, startling Luna and Innu.
