Chapter 33
by SingingLark
Last chance to back out of the deal...
He needs help
"Vicar... it is ok. I promise you, I wont judge" he was still petrified, but he wasn't going anywhere, and you walked in his direction.
"We all make our mistakes. You, above all, should know that love know no bounds, its ability to forgive is infinite" The princess was a pious young girl, and she quoted freely.
"Now, in your final hours...why don't you let your pride go?" She sat besides the ailing man. He looked very frail, almost like a young kitten. There was a sweet smell about him as well. There was pure terror. Liandra desperately wished there was something she could do to give the man some peace.
Liandra touched his face, but didn't feel anything. She caressed it, imagining he could have been her grandfather. She kissed his cheek. Nothing. Confused you look towards the Drow merchant, standing next to you.
"It is too late." she moves her hand over the lid of his eyes. It looked like he was sleeping. "He is dead". A horrible sadness overwhelms the princess, and she begins to cry for this man she didn't even knew.
"I will prepare your payment. It will be delivered at the castle".
But the potion is still in the poor princess. Who does she touch?
