Yuri pinched the bridge of his nose in surprised annoyance; he didn’t think he would be discussing elementary school knowledge like it was a gift from on high before this point; he took a slow deep breath before saying, “Where I grew up, we have names for the different phases of the moon. The fully glowing off-white side is referred to as the ‘Full Moon,’ so we have that and the ‘Half Moon’ in common; it’s the in-between phases and that last one that are different,” the rabbit woman beckoned him to continue, “going from full to that darkened phase you mentioned, we have the ‘Waning Gibbous,’ the phase where it starts to further darken, the ‘Third Quarter,’ the phase on the way to the next phase, the ‘Waning Crescent,’ phase that looks almost like a curved double-bladed dagger on the left side,” the rabbit woman perked up at the visualization of this description, “then the ‘New Moon,’ that darkened phase where the moon seems to be all black. After that, going the other way back to being the full phase, we go into the ‘Waxing Crescent,’ the double-bladed dagger on the right, then move into the ‘First Quarter’ before moving into the ‘Half Moon’ from the other side, then rounds out with the ‘Waxing Gibbous’ before becoming a Full Moon. Also, in that world, there are two figures associated with the moon in legend; the ‘Man in Moon,’ which is a reference to a face-like structure you can sometimes see when looking up at the moon…”

“I believe in this world it is referred to as the ‘Face of the Moon Goddess,’” said Tsuki with a quick interruption, “rather amusing there is something similar in another world.

“And,” Yuri continued, “the ‘Rabbit on the Moon,’ a reference to a bunny/rabbit-like formation you can sometimes see on the moon.”

“I recall you mentioning something like that prior,” said Tsuki, “it’s why I made a few changes to my list of requests.”

Moving down the list, there were a dozen of them in total; Yuri saw the next point had been adjusted like the one above it to read something about each of the offspring being similarly colored and patterned to the phases of the moon. After that was just a list of the physical properties she wanted to be expressed in the offspring. From the looks of things, the final request was added in as well, meaning she initially planned for only eleven requests. The last request was having each of the offspring have assets that follow a similar scheme to how the phases of the moon go.

“I see you want to have your offspring have some more defined assets,” said Yuri as he put the list on the nightstand and began stripping his own attire off, “may I ask why that is?”

“The rituals we’ve used up until now offered very little in the way of variety; my daughter is basically a near duplicate of myself; having a means of producing offspring with any sort of variety we want is practically a gift from on high.”
