Bring sis in on it

Deciding that having a partner in crime was far more fun, I decided to bring her in on it.

As I stood there grinning, I asked Emma if she believed me now. I mean, there was no way Mom would ever clean my room without a single complaint. Emma looked skeptical and said she wasn't sure. She thought it could've been a fluke or something. I tried to convince her, pointing out that Mom had never done anything like that before.

I pulled out my phone and showed her the app, explaining what I learned, showing her the "I need you to trust me rule" and explaining how I made mom clean my room. I leave out the orgy I caused earlier.

Emma hesitated, admitting that it was hard to believe. She couldn't wrap her head around the idea of me controlling the universe with an app. I knew it was a lot to take in, so I suggested showing her some more examples. Rolling her eyes, she agreed but warned me that if this was some kind of prank, I'd regret it.

"I don't believe you." Emma said, "this is just too ridiculous, theres no way this is real."

"Tell you what, lets give it a test run and you could see with your own eyes - whatever you want." I said, sly smile on my face.

"ooookay..." Emma replied, mind clearly spinning, "what are you thinking?"

"Lets go grab a coffee" I suggested.

We walked to the coffee shop accross the street, where I planned to demonstrate the app's power. On the way there, Emma was oddly silent, clearly trying to process what I was telling her.

Standing in line to order, I turned to her nodding my head towards a man sitting at a table and said "see that guy?"

"Uh huh..." Emma replied

I pulled my phone out and typed a new rule: "Any one I look at and blink four times in the direction of, will get up and start doing the staying alive dance for 30 seconds before returning to what they were doing and forget that they did it, nobody but my sister will notice, and if anyone but my sister notices, they will not think its unusual".

"Ok, watch this, I said".

I stared at his back and blinked four times rapidly.

He got up from his chair instantly and started dancing. Nobody seemed to notice.

Emma looked at him, shook her head in disbelief, and returned to looking around the room as if nothing had happened.

Emma laughed, but she still thought it could be a coincidence. I smirked and decided to up the ante, vowing to make the barista give us free drinks.

Raising an eyebrow, Emma said she'd admit I was onto something if I could actually pull that off. I used the app, and the barista called us over, offering free drinks. Emma's stunned expression was priceless. I couldn't help but nod and ask her what she thought now.

"What the actual fuck?!?" She said, "so we don't need money anymore?"

I chuckled as I erased the rules that I used to convince her, "Nope, we're pretty much....Gods."

She sipped her coffee quietly, mind clearly spinning. "So....what now...are you just going to rule the world?"

I exhaled and shrugged "I don't know. I really don't, but I feel like I'd go insane if I was at the top by myself. Its why I told you about it."

She nodded slowly. "Alright, so what do we do now? Can I ask you to do things for me? Is there anyway I can try it or get some kind of super powers?"

"Hmmm, good question", I said. I frowned for a moment before an idea came to me and I pulled out my phone and typed "Any time my sister Emma asks anyone but me to do her a favour, they will be compelled to try their very best to do whatever she asks."

I click enter and turn the phone around to show it to her.

She looks at the screen, shaking her head, still in disbelief "so....i can get anyone to do whatever I want simply by asking that they do me a favour?"

"Anyone but me" I respond with a wink.

"Holy shit" She whispers quietly into her coffee cup before taking a sip. We walk back home together silently for several minutes until finally we're walking up my stairs towards my room when Emma stops abruptly and says, "if you don't mind I'm gonna go out for a bit, I need to... I don't even know"

I smile and wink saying "see ya later, have fun".

She walks downstairs where I hear her speaking to dad. I stay at the top of the stairs and listen.

"Dad, can I have the car for the night?"

"What? No, its a school night." My dad replies annoyed - he never lets us borrow the family car.

"Come on dad, please? As a favour to me?" I hear her say, the slightest hint of unsureness in her voice.

I hear silence for a second before my dad ultimately says, "oh alright then, here take the keys and here is $50 if you need any gas."

Emma giggles, says thanks and I hear her say thanks before walking to the door and leaving the house.

I walk downstairs as mom comes in from the kitchen and says to Chuck "did Emma just go somewhere?"

My dad replies "yeah, she asked for the car, I guess she's going out with friends or something..."

My mom's eyes seemed to widen to complete saucers as she yelled "And you let her?!?!? Its a school night and I just finished prepping dinner! Since when are you making these kind of decisions without me?!?!"

I chuckled to myself and said "hey guys, I need you to trust me, its fine that she went out for the night, its not a big deal."

Both seemed to ponder on that for a moment before my mom's face broke into a smile, "Oh well!" she said, guess theres just more for us then!"

"Oh," I said, "actually, I'm going out for the night as well."

"What?!?" They both shouted together.

"I need you to trust me, its not a big deal that both of us go out whenever, you trust us."

They paused for a second, clearly trying to process what was happening before mom spoke up again "okay honey... but its already 6... so come back early, you need your sleep".

I smiled, nodded and said "sounds good mom. See you guys later!"

With that I threw on my shoes and walked out of the house.
