What's next?
Wait for her next move
You take a deep breath as you approach Charlie's table. You try to keep things professional, but there's a small part of you that still wants to flirt with her. "Hi, welcome back to the coffee shop," you say, giving her a smile.
"Hi, Alex," she replies with a warm smile of her own. "It's good to see you again."
"What can I get for you today?" you ask, pulling out your notepad and pen.
"Just a regular coffee, please," she says, handing you a five-dollar bill.
"Coming right up," you say, walking over to the counter to place her order.
As you prepare her coffee, you can't help but glance over at her. She's wearing a white blouse and black pencil skirt today, and her hair is pulled back into a sleek bun. She looks effortlessly sophisticated and put-together, and you can't help but feel a little intimidated.
You bring her coffee over to her table and she thanks you, taking a sip. "So, how's work been treating you?" she asks.
"It's been good," you say, leaning against the table. "I'm learning a lot about the coffee industry, and I'm starting to develop a real passion for it."
"That's great to hear," she says, nodding. "Passion is so important in any career."
You continue to chat for a little while longer, discussing everything from your favorite books to your thoughts on current events. You find yourself drawn to her intelligence and her easy way of conversing.
As your conversation winds down, she finishes her coffee and stands up. "Thank you for the great coffee and conversation, Alex," she says, smiling. "I'll definitely be back soon."
"Of course, anytime," you say, smiling back.
As she walks away, you can't help but feel a little disappointed that you didn't get to talk more. But at the same time, you're glad that you were able to keep things professional and friendly.
Choice:
A) Take a risk and ask her out next time she comes in.
B) Keep things friendly and professional, but try to chat a little longer next time.
