Rian was certainly out of the question, after what she had been through. Susan could work, but I ultimately thought that mum would be the best choice.

I rung her up and she answered, "Hello?"

"Hi, mum, this is Laurie."

"Oh hi, sweetie, I was about to say you left your phone here. How's Tesco?"

"Well, that's the thing. Dan caught us and picked Rian up to his place, so she bunked off. I went inside with the purse and list and they're saying that they won't let people in who don't have any clothes on."

"Oh, well that's just unacceptable! Here, your aunt and I are coming over to talk some sense into them!"

"Thanks, mum," I said as I hung up. Hopefully this would all be over soon.
