What do you do?
Head back once you've comforted her
Before the tears started falling, you circled around the table, picked up the surprisingly light monster girl, and carried her over to the bed-shaped pile of clothes. From there, you sat down and embraced her as she fought off her emotions. After a few minutes passed, Cady told you about her relationship with Hesperos. She despised him at first, for turning her into something more human and less monstrous. The change made her fear being seen, and judged, by her fellow monsters, so she isolated herself and made this cave her new home. Over time, though, she grew used to the solitary life, and the times that the wizard would visit. He would bring her generous gifts, which eventually wore down her hatred and turned it into something else. Being asked to guard the entrance to the trials dimension, and the forest as a whole, had given Cady’s life meaning like she’d never known before. It was the last promise that she made to him, and yet she failed to stop the paladin. All of the wizard’s hard work was lost forever, in a parallel world that no one can access anymore — if it still exists at all. You listened to all of this, offering a kind word or two from time to time, but mostly just holding her tight. After she finished her story and calmed down, the two of you walked together to the mouth of the cave, where Cady cut open a hole in the wall of spider silk she had applied and let you take your leave.
Now, guided once again by Cady remotely tugging on your thumb, you’re making your way back to the monster village. It’s even darker than it was earlier, but you can just about avoid tripping over any exposed roots thanks to the light of the mana crystal in your hand. I can’t wait to have actual roads and paths made, you think. The forest is beautiful and all, but it’s so easy to get lost. Accompanied by thoughts along those lines, the journey back to the village feels much shorter than on the way out. Before you know it, you’re back in the large, open clearing surrounded by tree houses. With a mere thought, you extinguish the light of the mana crystal and survey the village as your eyes adjust to the moonlight. The only monsters awake at this hour, aside from the guards on duty, are slimes. According to Scarlett, slimes have a unique trait of never needing to sleep.
Which makes it all the more annoying when they show up in the middle of the night to steal food.
Yes, as you would expect, slimes are more pest than monster in this world. They are at the bottom of the monster hierarchy: the weakest, dumbest, and messiest of monsters. There are some intelligent species out there, but none, apparently, in this forest. Even Violet, who chewed you out so aggressively for fighting back against the dire wolves and griffins who attacked you, supports the killing of slimes like you would a slug in your vegetable garden. That being the case, you’re not surprised to see one of the guards posted to your hut stomping a gooey green creature to mush as you approach.
“Welcome back, my lord.” The second guard, not being occupied with pest control, bows as he welcomes you. “Lady Blythe and Lady Lia are waiting for you inside.”
You nod to the guard, then pull the shabby curtain aside to enter the stick-and-mud shelter. Inside, you find your two companions lounging on the bed together. From the way Lia is pointedly avoiding your gaze, you take it she still hasn’t recovered from the embarrassment of Blythe walking in on you this morning. Blythe, on the other hand, watches you with interest as you enter the little room. Rather than the outfits you’re used to seeing them in, which have been worn and torn nearly to shreds by your adventures thus far, the girls are now dressed in plain, beige night gowns. The nearly ankle-length, opaque garments are far too modest for your tastes, but seeing Blythe and Lia in matching, comfy attire warms your heart, nonetheless.
We all need new clothes, you think. Better than the stuff the monsters have looted from corpses. Real, sturdy gear. But we would need to get into town for that.
Blythe slides to the edge of the bed and stands, her massive mammaries weighing heavily in her gown as she shifts around.
We should get some fun clothes, too. Imagine what those would look like in lingerie, you think, mentally drooling over those sexy elven tits.
“How was your conversation with the mage? You were gone for quite a while,” says Blythe. The busty blonde slips her arms under yours and holds you close. You return her embrace, all the while mulling over her question. The meeting with the elven adventurer, Rowena Melissari, went worse than you had hoped it would. You had to use the ace in your sleeve, of abusing her crush on her party’s dashing rogue, in order to get her to even consider talking. If she doesn’t squeal in the morning — if she calls your bluff — then you’ll actually have to hurt little old Roy. And you don’t really want that, because the guy has all three of his hot, female party members pining after him. That’s the stuff of dreams, right there, and you can’t help but root for the dude a little.
Of course, you could be biased by the fact that you have two gorgeous women sharing your bed.
“We’ll see if she feels like cooperating in the morning. You were right about her and the rogue,” you say.
Blythe smiles mischievously, as if she was hoping that you would resort to using that bit of intel. With a glint in her eye, the elf begins carefully unbuttoning your battle-worn doublet. Curious as to where this is going, you simply hold the woman while she works. After she removes your top, Blythe leaves your pants alone and sashays backwards to the bed. She lies on one side, and Lia squirrels over to the other, leaving an open space in the middle as if to welcome you.
Not one to turn down such an invitation, you climb onto the bed between your elven and catkin companions. The mattress is comfortable and warm, but not enough on its own to combat the chill of the night air.
Where are the blankets?
You’re about to sit up and search for the woolen sheets when you feel the warm weight of Blythe’s breasts press into your side.
“Are you cold, Evan?” she asks.
“A little,” you say. “What happened to the—”
You’re cut off by the feeling of another warm body ambushing you from the other side. Lia lays a gentle hand on your chiseled chest. “Let us… w-warm you up, then…” she says.
Ah, so that’s what’s going on, you think as both girls sandwich you with their warmth. Blythe traps your arm between her big tits, lays one of her legs over yours, and nuzzles her head into the crook of your neck. Lia slips in under your arm and snuggles up to your chest. Gradually, as if by some kind of magic, the cold doesn’t seem to bother you anymore.
What do you do?
