Later, just before I was leaving for the day, Erik shot me a text with the details and address. As it turned out, the party was this coming weekend and I was actually free.
The rest of the week at work went by as usual. I worked on my project with the rest of the team and thankfully they didn’t seem to think anything about the time I spent getting to the new group manager, Erik. Erik met with the rest of the individuals in the group and attended meetings.
