Chapter 4 by Tython Tython

Who is it?

Little Sister Gwendolyn

"Adam!" His younger sister, Gwen, cried out and leaps at him, nearly knocking Adam to the floor.

Adam's half sister on their mother's side, the two only share hair color. Otherwise, Gwen stands out with her vibrant green eyes and overly developed bust. Despite her young age, she's sporting D cups that compliment her wide hips. While her bust was really hidden by one of many shirts she's 'borrowed' from her past boyfriends, her pj bottoms accentuated her bubble butt.

"Gwen!" after the initial shock, Adam embraces Gwen with as much enthusiasm and she has for him. If all the people from his old life, he was most happy to see her. The two have always been close despite being half siblings. They were the best of friends.

"I couldn't believe the announcement when i heard your name." She finally says, fighting back joyous tears. "You're really here!"

"I'm so happy to see you." Adam fought back his own tears. "What took you so long? That broadcast was hours ago."

"This place is an enormous maze and the damn elevators are so slow." The two finally separate. Adam leads the way to the couch. Gwen sits right next to him. Adam can't help himself and pulls her into another hug.

"It doesn't matter. You're here now." The two sit and hug in silence for little over a minute before Gwen pulls away. She moves a stray stand and hair behind her ear.

"So." She stays with a sly smile Adam recognized all too well. "You're the only man in a world of women. How's it feel?"

"To be honest, I don't know yet. It still hasn't quite sunk in, I guess." Adam could only shrug. "Besides Overseer Campbell, you're the only other woman I've actually met so far."

"You talked with the Overseer in person?" Gwen asked with impressed skepticism. "Celebrities have some privileges, huh?"

"She only briefed me on the situation before the broadcast. It wasn't a social call or anything. And I'm not a celebrity."

"More like an oddity." Gwen relaxes and lays across the couch resting her legs over Adam's lap. "You still got a house call from the mayor. That's not nothing."

"I guess." Adam strokes Gwen's legs almost unconsciously. Something they'd often do when they were kids watching TV. "So where are you staying? What's your room number?"

"246," Gwen answers casually, "It's over an hour's walk from here."

"Damn." Adam likes his sister, but an hour of walking and elevators is discouraging. "Maybe one of us could swap with a neighbor so we're living closer."

"You really want your sister so close to mess with your game?" Gwen says with a tinge of a wink.

"What game?" Adam raises an eyebrow at his sister.

"Well, you practically have your pick of literally hundreds of women." Gwen shrugs and nudges Adam with her leg. "Statistically speaking, you're almost guaranteed to get laid."

"Historically speaking, I have no game." Adam wasn't a virgin, but his last relationship was over a year ago and it was only his fifth ever. "You're aware of my legendary dry spells."

"True, but now you're the only available dick. At the very least you're the go-to stress reliever." Gwen laughs at her own joke.

"I'm pretty sure my body count isn't going to increase any time soon." Adam says, dejected. He's been turned down so often he almost expects rejection.

"Maybe not." Gwen sits up and looks at Adam, analyzing her brother. "You're good looking, smart, funny, handy, all you're missing is the confidence."

"Simple fix." Adam shrugs. "Got any booze?"

Gwen giggles a bit at her brother's joke. "I'm serious. Don't be a dick about it, but don't be a bitch either. Look up as you walk, put some effort and care into your appearance, be friendly but not a posh over, things like that."

"You make it sound easy. You forget such strategies work best when you're hot."

"Dumbass, you're definitely hot."Gwen thinks to herself for half aminute. "Maybe I could sew some seeds for you?"

"What do you mean?" A part of Adam was hopeful at the prospect of getting laid soon by several different Monday.

"Well, since we have different last names, no one would suspect we're siblings." Gwen itches her chin as she thinks it through. "Maybe I could talk you up. Pretend I dated you back on the surface and give others the impression you're hot stuff."

"You think that'll work?" Adam thought it was a bit underhanded, but he's willing to bend some moral rules for the occasional night of fun.

"No." And like that, Adam's hopes are shattered. "But it'll be fun."

"Gee, thanks." Adam stands and stretches. His fatigue catching up to him.

"I should probably sleep, then." Gwen said as she also stood up and stretched. The siblings hug tightly, each happy their family has survived.

"You're gonna be OK to walk so far?" Adam asks, as per etiquette demands.

"Of course not!" Gwen says before booking it to Adam's room. "I'm stealing your bed!" She cried out as she actually jumps into the mattress.

"The hell you are!" Adam almost stomped into his room to find Gwen has already wrapped herself up as a blanket burrito.

"Come on," she pouts, "you're gonna make a defenseless woman walk home by herself at night?"

"One, you're a semi-professional boxer." Adam starts, losing off everything he says on his fingers "You've hospitalized the last three guys who tried anything with you. Two, there are no guys besides me so you're safe from that kind of threat. And three, the halls and elevators are monitored so no one will try anything anyway."

"Please?" Gwen uses what she thinks are kitten eyes, but Adam would compare to a wall-eyed pug. Still...

"Fine." Adam relented. "But you get the couch."

"Nope. I already called the bed." She flips on her side, facing away from her brother. "G'night!"

"You're such a pain." Adam smiled at his sister as he swipes away a pillow for himself.

"Love you too, bro." Gwen giggles as she wiggles into her stolen bed.

Adam is still smiling as he lays across the surprisingly comfortable couch. His mind drifts from memories to ideas as he finally falls asleep.
