Cass drove us back to the apartment as Jen and I sat in the back together, shyly holding hands as we chatted about ourselves. She parked the car outside as we all stepped out and headed towards the door. With a click the front door unlocked and the three of us stepped in.
“Welcome back you tw-“ Kim began as she ran towards the door but her sentence died immediately as she saw the three of us there. “J-Jen w-when did you leave?” She giggled as she tried to cover up her initial confusion.
Jen simply smiled and gave her sister a hug as we all sat down and began the explanation. Kim’s eyes lighting up when she learned that we share the same ability should’ve been the highlight of the discussion, but her almost tearful reaction to learning her sister has a boyfriend now was even better. It took a few minutes for it to sink in.
“Well,” Kim began, twirling her long hair with one hand, “it’s nice to see we’re not alone.” We sat in silence for a moment as we all were thinking pretty much the same thing.
“So now what?” Jen piped up. I’m sure we all wanted the same thing but no one wanted to come out and say it.
“I think this is an opportunity to get to know each other a little better,” Kim surprisingly said with a blush on her face. She gave me a rather hungry look. “Ken,” she said sweetly, “do you mind?”
