Chapter 1

Thera awakes as the sun sets in the west. Her head aches and the last thing she remembers is drinking in a tavern with a few new comrades. They’d just completed a mission and were drinking away their earnings. Now she was naked and deep in the woods. She clutches at her ample chest, trying to hide her nakedness in vain. At least for the moment there was no one to hide from and her dark purple skin affords her a bit of camouflage at night. She checks her silver-white hair, luckily still in her practical ponytail. She has nothing else except the leather tie she uses to keep it in order.

She surveys her surroundings. She’s deep in the forest; trees surround her and almost blot out the night sky. Luckily she can see just enough to navigate by, or so she thinks.
