Go to Kimi's manor before meeting Miss Monto at the pub

Emid finished his work for the day and changed into something that would blend in in the town. His mom and sister weren't in their family quarters, so he was able to change quickly. As he left the gate, he turned towards the Deno manor. He needed to check on Kimi. She was at the castle about every day and usually came by to see him. Maybe her new duties learning how to manage her family estate had her busy and it was nothing to worry about.

At the manor entrance, Emid saw there was less staff than usual and the guards seemed to be changing shifts. Kimi was on a balcony with her mother and what Emid thought was their financial advisor. They seemed to be having a conversation with most of it directed at Kimi. Emid decided to go up to the balcony and do what he had come for. The maids knew Emid and greeted him as he entered, directing him towards the northern balcony. He passed the financial advisor in the hall, so he assumed the meeting was over on the balcony he first spotted Cyni, Kimi's mom. Cyni was a beautiful mature woman with golden skin from her native Jinpla with black hair, dark eyes, and larger than average breasts. Cyni maintained her physical training every morning and had a very athletic backside that was known to draw attention at events in the royal court. For a moment he thought he was seeing double when he looked to Kimi. A girl who looked a lot like Kimi was there too. However, she was a bit taller, similar to Cyni and more muscular, and with a larger bust but still thin. The features typically associated with Jinpla were as pronounced as they were in Cyni. "Oh hi Emid, it's nice to see you. This is Shinai, My cousin's daughter from the Southern Isles" said Cyni. Emid smiled and replied, it is always a pleasure to see you lady Deno, and a pleasure to meet Shinai. I was actually coming by because I didn't see Kimi today". Cyni gave a quick smile and said "well I'all let you get to it then, I need to go make sure the maids have set Shinai's room correctly. Come Shinai". With that the two taller women left, and Emid and Kimi were still on the balcony.

Kimi started "I probably should have mentioned I would be busy with my cousin coming in and my mother taking a bigger roll in my training but I forgot. I know today was your first day on the Court Guard apprenticeship and I wanted to come up and see, especially since I didn't warn you yesterday". Emid knew Kimi could tend to forget things and it was sometimes frustrating, but he also knew she had a lot in her mind. Emid decided to move the subject to her day.

Emid: "how was it training under your mother."

Kimi: "you know how she can be but with Shinai arriving today, she gave me a bit more space to figure some things out on my own."

Emid: "how come your tutor doesn't do most of your training?"

Kimi: "oh, Esme is great, but she just doesn't know as much about running the manor, she can help with understanding the finance and maintenance, but she has never commanded a staff. The only folks she has been in charge of was the children of nobles which is far different from a large staff of commoners. No offense."

Emid: "None taken. If I had taken offense, I would mention it to your mom or Esme you may need to review diplomatic language a bit more."

Kimi gasped and said "you wouldn't". Emid chuckled "Kimi, it's only a joke. I know you are terrified of them, but you gotta lighten up once in a while. Anyways I must be going. I didn't mean to upset you with my joke". Kimi was still looking a little sad, but smiled and bid Emid farewell.
