Never wake up to bad news!

Lauren stirred awake, blissfully moving to stretch her arms above her head. She would, if she had much muscle control. Instead, she felt a stiff tug, as she sluggishly moved her arms, realizing something was very, very wrong. Looking down at her body she soon realized that her day's ordeal hadn't been a nightmare at all, and she'd in fact, lived through the worst day of her life. Lauren moved her attention to the mirror and found her face as puffy and fat as the Gerber baby.

With fat potbelly hanging out in front of her and nonexistent tits, Lauren was already on the verge of tears. As she moved to sit up, she realized her legs felt slightly numb. Trying to kick her feet, she could only move them with slowly and clumsily- like a toddler.

Lauren moved out of her bed fast, trying desperately to get her legs to move faster, only throwing more of a tantrum as her legs refused to work like they'd used to before. As she peddled around the room, the sounds of her whine and the crinkle of a new diaper were the only noises you'd hear within the room. As she neared the door, she heard voices from outside of her room. Stopping to listen, Lauren pressed her ear against the door.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry, this is a very rare scenario."
"Doctor, she's a little girl, she has to have her legs fixed, she just has to." It was Rachel. God, she was still here?

"We administered the correct dose of antivenom for her age. Little Lily seems to have absorbed the antidote slower than most other people would. It'll wear off eventually."

"Did we at least find out what class group she was with before she came here? They must be worried sick about her."

"We couldn't find her class." The doctor said sheepishly.

"What do you mean you can't find her class? I spoke with her chaperone earlier today!" Rachel asked.

"We checked the zoo's attendance records, and asked every teacher that came in today. There wasn't even a class in her age range at the zoo today. "

"That's absurd!" Rachel was getting furious.

"Ma'am, believe me. Nobody at the zoo today knows where Lily came from."

Rachel scoffed. "Well, she's got to belong to somebody! A kid doesn't just show up out of nowhere."

"You'd be surprised ma'am. Lots of runaways her age come to the zoo to play with the monkeys. But don't worry, we'll take care of her."

Uh-oh. Were they going to get the police involved? A big manhunt to bring her back home to her parents? Vanessa would never let Lauren live this down.

"I wouldn't mind taking care of her until we found her home. We have an extra room in my house and my husband would be more than happy to help. Besides, my kids already love her."

No, no, no, no. Lauren didn't want to live with Rachel Davis! This was a nightmare that would never end!

"That's incredibly generous of you Ma'am. You wouldn't need to feel guilty leaving her here though, zoo administration has found a local foster family who've agreed to take her in too."

Oh fuck. No, no, no, Rachel Davis, please. Anything but going to a foster home. Who knows what would happen to Lauren in a place like that?
