Trouble

The ash surrounds the Lich King. It seeps into his body and disappears. Two boney wings grow out of his back. He loses two spider legs to make space. His body is covered in rotten scales. He's grown two feet taller, now ten feet tall. He starts laughing as I Observe him again.

Shit, he healed again! I don't know if I'll have enough mana for this. Should I turn into a Werewolf again? I would become much stronger and faster. But I wouldn't be able to use my fire magic. Shit! This is bad. I think before shaking my head.

"Is it that bad?" Liz asks me, causing me to turn and look at her. I see her, Kallen, Kagiyama, Sugano, my gramps, Myla, and Hino. about twenty feet away stand the rest of the guild members.

"Yeah, and he healed up. He's back at max and has tons of mana." I say and she sighs. I turn to Kallen as he makes a hand signal. He puts up two fingers, then three, then one, and finally a fist. "Where's Riot and Barry?" I ask and he points behind him with his thumb.

"We managed to take them down. Once the undead turned to ash we overwhelmed them with our numbers. I signaled to the others to stay back and attack from a distance." He replies and I nod. I cast Demonic Flare onto their weapons but don't add them to my party.

"Have you said your farewell yet!" The Lich King shouts and I sigh. I turn to the girls and nod. We rush the Lich and I hear Kallen and the others do the same. I quickly warn them about the fog that seeps from his wounds while we run. The Lich smiles as we approach. I cast Annihilating Strike on my weapons again. I jump and aim for his eyes. He uses his wings to jump at the same time I do. We collide in midair and I stab my blades into his chest.

I see his arms move to grab me and Blink back. I Multicast Flaming Maw using my Dagger again.

He smiles and opens his mouth. I see a dark fog seep from his lips and take out my wings. I fly straight up as he breathes out the same dark fog from his wounds. He looks up at me and flies for me. This gives me an idea. I send an order to Eimbis and Barai. I tell them to attack him with their breath attack. They can't get involved in the ground because they're attacks would hit us. But up here, they can fire away without concern. I see a barrage of flaming rocks fly through the air and pelt the Lich King. Before hitting him, I reactivate their notifications.

I fly down to the ground as the Lich crashes into the sand. The others run over to me, but before they say anything the Lich roars.

"I need more! More monsters! More power!" He shouts out before turning around. He landed between us and the other Guild members. He opens his mouth to attack with his breath attack. I hear screams come from the group. I see Kallen and Kagiyama start running. Some people in the group start attacking while others put up barriers. An idea hits me and I sigh. I hope this works. I think before casting Lightning Step. I move in front of the Lich and see his eyes full of shock. They quickly turn to amusement. I raise my Katana as he releases the dark fog. I cast Annihilation Thrust aiming at him and the fog. The fog vanishes and he looks at me dumbfounded. I rush him and cast Annihilating Strike on both my weapons again. He backs up and raises his hands. I cut his four arms off before jumping back.

I quickly Observe him again, to see how much mana he has left. He's down ten thousand and I sigh. I see Kagiyama and Kallen attack his back as a few fire spells pass my head. The two jump back and I watch the Lich recover. Luna and Innu attack next, followed by Asami's Minotaur.

I'm surprised to see Asami's Minotaur does the most damage. There has to be a better way than this. We're just twiddling away at him. We could eventually beat him like this, but I doubt we'll get away without casualties. We're lucky we don't have any yet. And once my mana runs out, nothing will stop him from using his breath to turn us into undead. I think before a sudden thought runs through my mind. I cast Visit Prisma without any thought on my part. I appear in the vast watery world. I see the tree that is Prismas body in front of me. I look around and see Prisma behind me.

"Eric, sorry for calling you here so suddenly." He says.

"Why did you bring me here? I'm not angry or anything. But this isn't a good time." I say and he nods.

"I know, but that's why I brought you here. I think you really need to pass this test." he says and I sigh.

"Prisma, I don't have time for this now." I say before trying to leave. It doesn't work and I look at him.

"Eric, trust me. You need this." He says and I sigh.

"How are you sure? You said you don't know what I'll get." I say and he stands still. A moment of silence goes by before he opens his mouth. As soon as he does, I see a dark grey energy envelop his throat. He stops and coughs as the energy leaves. "What was that!?" I ask, recognizing that energy as Annihilation Energy.

"I can't say. Just as I can't say what you'll get from passing the test." He replies and I sigh.

"So basically, what you're saying is that you know what I'll get. You just can't say because something is keeping you from talking?" I ask and he nods. "Fine, I'll try to pass again. But I can't stay long. I need to get back soon, okay?" I say and he nods, relieved.
