Perspective Shift: Kayla(2)

‘Yeah, keep glaring. You’re not changing my mind.’ You think to yourself as you smirk at Blue, who’s giving you a stink-eye for about the dozenth time since leaving the Pokécenter. Daisy doesn’t seem to have noticed, as she’s too busy trying to follow directions to get to the bathhouse, while Daniel and Red occasionally shoot you cheeky grins or sympathetic looks respectively. The irritated Pallet girl’s baleful gaze doesn’t bother you, though you do wish she would relax a little. This is going to be fun!

The five of you are all making your way through Cerulean City after quickly putting your bags up in your rooms, letting the elder Oak sister guide you all through the busy streets and throngs of people. The Seabreeze Bathhouse is supposed to only be about a fifteen minute walk from the Pokécenter, so you should be arriving there before too much longer. You’re really looking forward to having a nice, relaxing bath… It’d be more fun if everyone was bathing together, but you’ll take what you can get; a bath with the lovely Oak sisters, one more enthusiastic than the other.

Of course you understand why Blue is acting the way she is. The second she heard that there were separate baths available, she was going to leap on the chance to not take a bath with the boys… and you, she likely assumed. Which is why you immediately stepped in and suggested the girls’ day. You had and have no intention of letting her get away with controlling everything. Daisy clearly wants to spend time with you and your friends, but her sister’s being a brat about it. Blue’s already gotten the older girl to agree to spend the night with her, even though she definitely seems interested in an evening with Red. So you’ve taken it upon yourself to make sure that Daisy at least gets a chance to spend time with someone new… Of course, messing with the younger Pallet girl is an added bonus.

It really isn’t the only reason you’re doing this though. You really want to get to know the sweet, pretty, older girl from Pallet Town who you’ve heard Red speak fondly of, and who seems to care about him. And… You want to get to know her little sister better too. You can already tell she isn’t actually a bad person. At first, when you and the boys met her and Violet, she had seemed like a total bitch, so you were ready to just hate her. But then… Then you saw how well she treated her Pokémon after winning against your friend, saw how she outright refused to take money from him, and saw how cute she could be thanks to how she interacted with Violet. She isn’t actually awful, just… complicated. In a way that makes you want to know more.

And right now you want to see how she acts when he isn’t around, how she acts around Daisy, and maybe figure out a little bit about why she treats your friend the way she does. Granted, you being here will probably mean she’s still going to act prickly, but hopefully less so than if Red were joining you. She seems to really have some sort of problem with him, though you struggle to understand what it is. He really doesn’t strike you as the type to have done something awful to her in the past, so you’ve basically ruled that out. There’s always the possibility that she’s just being very childish about the fact that she has a crush on him, but that doesn’t seem totally right either. After all, she didn’t act the same way towards Violet, who she was obviously quite interested in. So what is it…?

“Here we are!” Daisy announces, snapping you out of your pondering and autopilot walking. “The Seabreeze Bathhouse!”

The building in front of you looks pretty big for a bathhouse, though you’ve never actually been to one so you aren’t totally sure. The wall around the entryway is painted to make it look like you’re standing on the shore of a beach, staring out at the surf as the sun sets. A familiar type of vista to you, who grew up in the beachside Vermillion City. The artwork is beautiful, and a small feeling of homesickness grows inside of you as you look it over. You’ll be going back soon though… and that thought causes a small ball of anxiety to form inside of you, like a knot in your stomach. You’re going to have to check in with your parents… Of course, you do want to see them, just…

“Reminding you of home too, Kay?” A slight jolt hits your body as you hear Daniel murmur behind you, quiet enough that the three from Pallet don’t hear him as they start to walk towards the door of the establishment.

“Yeah…” You reply under your breath. The conflict you’re feeling must be evident on your face, because your master proceeds to give you a reassuring smile and a light squeeze on the shoulder.

“Don’t think about that too much right now. We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it… They’re definitely gonna be happy to see you though. So when we get there, just let me know if you want me around or not, and if there’s anything I can do.”

Tightness grips your chest as the golden-blonde finishes speaking. He’s so… supportive. Despite his parental situation… definitely being worse than yours, and despite how your parents have started treating him recently. They used to love him… “Thanks, Daniel. That’s a two-way street though, okay? If there’s anything I can do for you, I will. Remember that.”

“‘Course. Thanks Kay.” A brief look of seriousness passes through his pretty light blue eyes, but it’s gone so fast that you may have imagined it. “C’mon, let’s move. Don’t want to keep everyone waiting.”

“Right. Bath time!” You reply, smiling as you do your best to brush aside your anxiety, and the warm smile your handsome lover gives you back melts your heart. “L-Let’s go!”

While your heartbeat picks up just a touch, you and Daniel quickly make your way into the lobby of the Seabreeze Bathhouse. Daisy is speaking to a receptionist, and the rivals from Pallet are just now turning around to look for you two. Rolling her eyes as you approach, Blue says “Oh, there they are. What, did you two get lost on the way in?”

“We were just admiring the artwork. Sorry ‘bout that.” The muscular young man answers, smiling sheepishly. “We’re here now though. Everyone ready?”

“Yeah, Sis is getting everything sorted. Me, Kayla, and her are going in one of the women’s baths, and you dorks are going in one of the mixed baths.” The sandy-blonde replies.

“Waitwaitwait. Why am I getting lumped in with Casanova like that? I’m not a dork!”

“…Neither am I. Right, Daniel?” Red’s eyes narrow into suspicion-filled slits as he stares at the blue-eyed boy, and you can’t help but giggle at the look on the brown-haired boy’s face.

“No comment, Casanova. No comment.” A crooked grin forms on your master’s face as he responds, mischief twinkling in his eyes.

Before the Pallet boy can retort, Daisy returns. “Okay, we’re all good to go! The boys are in mixed bath 2, and we’re in women’s bath 3 ladies. We can stay up to an hour once we’ve gone in, and there are lockers to put our clothes and belongings into in the changing rooms. They aren’t super busy at this time of day, so the baths shouldn’t be particularly crowded. Everyone good to go?”

“Wait Daisy, let me pay you back first. How much-“ Red starts to ask, before being cut off by the elder Oak sister.

“Don’t you worry about that. I’m fine covering for everyone. It’s not like I usually have much reason to spend money, so I’ve got enough saved up.” The honey-blonde gives you all a sweet smile, and you’re struck by just how differently she acts than her younger sister. Such an openly kind, gentle person… You don’t have Red’s trouble with accepting generosity, but you still make a mental note to pay her back in some way, at some point.

Speaking of Red’s trouble with accepting generosity. “But, Daisy-“

This time it’s the younger Oak’s turn to interrupt him. “She said she’s fine paying, so just drop it you loser! And everyone say thank you! Thanks Sis.”

“Thank you!” “Thanks!” You and Daniel chime, leaving the brown-eyed boy the odd one out. He hesitates for a moment, still clearly conflicted about this, but finally relents. “Okay, okay… Thanks Daisy. And… sorry.”

“It’s alright sweetie, I understand. Just try to relax and enjoy yourself, okay?” The blue-eyed young woman replies. “Now then, I believe it’s time for us to split up. We’ll meet back up with you boys later, okay? Have fun!”

With that, your group of five splits, and the boys head off towards the changing rooms for the mixed baths while you and the Oaks make your way towards the changing rooms for the women’s baths. Your footsteps echo slightly off the stone tile floor as you travel down the hall, and you glance around the interior of the building as you go. The brick walls are frequently decorated by more paintings of beaches or island scenery, as well as random things like life preservers and oars. It’s… kind of tacky looking in all honesty. But this place is a bit of a tourist trap, if it being in a pamphlet like the one Daisy has is any indication.

The three of you reach the door that leads into women’s bath 3, then enter. The changing room you walk into is fairly plain, just a place to take clothes on or off and dry yourselves after bathing. There are lockers lining the walls, as well as racks of towels for once you’re done in the bath. “Well, let’s not waste any time. We have an hour, remember.” Daisy says, after which you all set about taking off your clothes. Come to think of it, this is really more of a stripping room than a changing room, since it’s not like you’re putting anything on… whatever. As you choose a locker and start to take off your clothes, you also take your chance to do what you’ve been secretly waiting for since this bathhouse idea came up; see two beautiful blonde sisters strip naked. You do your best not to be too overt, but you can’t help but sneak a few glances. You’re only human!

Daisy quickly pulls her green sundress up and off her, revealing her smooth fair skin and subtle curves. She’s not as voluptuous as her younger sister, but her more modest bust and hips are hugged snuggly by a very pretty pair of white lacy undergarments, which she also starts removing. Your eyes wander over towards Blue now, as the younger blonde doffs the purple coat given to her by Violet, then takes off her gray t-shirt. Her skin is a little more tanned than her sister’s, and there’s an undertone of muscle that the elder Oak lacks, as well as those large breasts that you can’t help but be jealous of…

You pull your gaze away with a small sigh and look down at your own naked body, having been robotically undressing this whole time. You can’t help but feel… gawky, next to the pair of sexy blondes. Awkward. Even the slimmer and shorter Daisy is still curvier and taller than you over all, and you’re way lower in both regards compared to Blue. Old insecurities crop up, old memories of girls who would insult you for your looks back in school…

With a single, sharp shake of your head you dismiss those thoughts. None of that matters, and now’s not the time to think about it. Daniel and Red appreciate you, that’s what matters. ‘Stop being such a downer, Kayla!’ You yell at yourself internally, finally pulling off your final piece of clothing and turning around. As you turn, the sandy-blonde’s head very conspicuously snaps in a different direction, a light flush across her face. Was she… checking you out too?

…Well, that’s a nice confidence booster. And material for teasing.

“Well, we’re all out of our clothes now. Are you two ready to hop in? Or do you need more time to stare at each other?” The blue-eyed young woman asks as she shuts her locker and turns around, a devious grin splitting her lips.

‘She knows. SHE KNOWS.’ Your own face grows dark red in shame, and Blue’s blush deepens to match. “Y-Yeah. Let’s get in the bath! Right Blue?”

“MHM!” The younger Pallet girl squeaks out, staring at the floor.

Daisy rolls her eyes and shakes her head, still grinning. “Oh, you two. There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. We’re all very pretty girls, I get it. And do you think this is the first time I’ve caught you peeking at a girl, Blue?” The younger Oak’s face disappears into a haze of redness. “It’s fine, it’s fine. Let’s just get in the bath now, hm?” She says, letting out a small laugh as she walks towards the door that leads into the bath itself.

Well, at least she isn’t upset. She doesn’t seem bothered at all, actually. Well, she was the one who suggested a group bath, so clearly she doesn’t care too much about being seen naked, even by the boys. You and Blue both let out small sighs, and share a look of mutual relief, before moving to follow her older sister. You do your best to move past your embarrassment, and to forget about your bodily insecurities. There is one other thought plaguing your mind as you enter the bath though… Was Daisy peeking while you changed as well?

Word from the author: Gonna be honest, did NOT think it would take an entire chapter just to get into the bath, but here we are. That’s not what this author’s note is about though. I actually want to ask for suggestions on something. Specifically, Daniel’s eventual nickname for Daisy. I’m having trouble coming up with one I’m happy with, so if you have any ideas, please share!
