The sun cut through the blinds of Reed and Susan’s bedroom, making the blonde woman squint her eyes and scrunch her face in annoyance as she rolled over and draped herself over her sleeping husband. With the sun now behind her, Susan sighed and nuzzled into her husband’s chest, clutching at the bedsheets with a smile as she breathed in his smell and sighed. After she came home last night, the first thing she found were her family eating dinner Reed had tried to prepare, to the best of his abilities. Which meant he had burned fingers and soot in his hair and on his face when he looked up to her stepping into their home and gave him back a warm smile.

After seeing him a sorry mess like that trying to make up for what happened in the lab, Susan had quickly made her way to the table and gave the man a bear hug followed by a kiss on the lips and forehead, even if it DID taste like burnt toast. Reed had tried and failed miserably to make meatloaf and potatoes for everyone, at least he didn’t kill himself trying to make it. The meal had gone well, with Susan apologising for being made at Reed and what caused her temper in the first place. “Hmm, not as many as you might think, I had trouble sleeping.”

“Oh?” Susan hummed, raising an eyebrow in curiosity. “Do tell.”

“Oh yes, there were quite a few tremors during the late hours of the night, the bed was shaking and I think I lost a pillow some… Ouch!”

Laughing at her husband’s reaction to her love tap against his shoulder, Susan leaned down to kiss him on the lips again, caressing her fingers around his chin and jawline as she pressed her forehead against his.

“I think those tremors have some aftershocks, Reed.” Purred Susan as she pulled the blanket off the two of them and reached between her legs where she felt Reed get stiff around her delicate fingers. “I’m feeling another one right now.”

Feeling his hands reach out to grip at her waist, Susan sighed and drove him into her, fluttering her eyes as she felt that welcoming penetration and rocked her hips against his. “Same, lets just hope its someone’s idea of a bad joke.”

Seeing the door open, Susan was fully cleaned up and tossing her hair over her shoulder as she checked over her denim pants and blue sweater. Turning back and forth to check herself over in the full length mirror and look over her shoulder back to Reed.

“I’ve got the day off; I was thinking of heading out and enjoying the day. There’s a sweet shop that opened up and Jen told me they had some delicious cakes.”

Blowing her husband, a kiss, Susan waved him goodbye with a wink. When she left, Reed realised something that didn’t add up. When did she have spare clothes in the bathroom, and how did her hair look so dry after being in the shower? For only a minute?
