LYSSA ENTERS THE PARTY

"Ok, lets do this!" Lyssa forced an enthusiastic smile and stepped inside. For a moment she felt a sense of dread as the door closed behind her, but Jenny reassured her with a comforting rub on her shoulder.

"Good job, I'm so proud of you!" Her friend told her, having to raise her voice a bit to be heard over the music. Lyssa wondered if she was imagining the somewhat patronizing tone in her voice. "Lets go get drinks, then we can get started!"

Jenny led her through the party, brushing up against and squeezing between countless sweaty, excited bodies on her way to the kitchen. Once there she found her goal; a treasure trove of beers, ciders, hard seltzers, and more bottles liquor than Lyssa had seen in her entire life.

"Do you want me to mix you something or do you want to take care of it yourself?"
