Lyssa's First Party

Lyssa's First Party

Anything could happen!

Chapter 1 by Vanhelm23 Vanhelm23

Lyssa fumbled nervously with the hem of her shirt, blushing slightly at the sheer material. Her blonde hair fell lightly across her shoulders as she looked over at her friend, Jenny, in the driver's seat of the car as she parked on the street. She was really doing this. She was really doing this "party" thing.

"Are you sure about this?" She asked one last time as Jenny turned the key, letting the engine of the car die. "I've never been to one of these before, what if I look like an idiot?"

"The only thing you look like tonight is a hot piece of ass!" Her friend responded with a playful punch in the arm, eliciting a nervous giggle and a stronger blush from Lyssa. "You know Mark is gonna be here, now is the perfect time to make your move on him."

Lyssa nodded as she unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the car door, stepping out into the cool night air. It was much too chilly out to be staying outside for very long, but luckily for her, Jenny had parked pretty close to the house. The two of them walked the block or two to the house (they couldn't remember whose it was) as Jenny kept babbling about how excited she was. She was all about these house parties, but Lyssa had never joined her. She was more of the "quiet night in" kind of girl. But the promise of her class crush being at the party tonight had lured her in, and she had to admit, she was excited too. Incredibly nervous, for sure, but excited.

Jenny confidently walked up the steps and opened the door without knocking, and the sounds of the party quickly blew past the two girls. The lights were low but Lyssa could see a throng of bodies moving inside the house even from outside, a deep and bass-heavy music thumping into the night. Jenny looked back at Lyssa as she hesitated on the doorstep, moving to lead her in by the hand.

This was her last moment to back out. She could still turn around and go home. She wasn't sure how Jenny would take it if she bailed on her at the last minute like this, but the urge to turn tail and run was still very strong. On the other hand, maybe it would be fun to find out what she had been missing out on all this time. And like Jenny kept telling, her, Mark would be here, and this would be a good time to talk to him about something other than their shared homework assignments. She took a deep breath and made her choice.

Does Lyssa enter, or does she run?
