“Impressive,” you mumble smiling, “I rarely ever met twins. You and your brother really look the same.”

“We do,” the guy answers proud, “our teachers always had trouble telling us apart. I’m Martin, he is Mason. I’m the older one.”

“Cool, I’m Ashley” you say, “and you work here both?”

“Well, it’s a family business,” Martin answers and shrugs his shoulders, “our grandfather owns this store, but he is in hospital. His heart gives him trouble lately. And our grandma is too old too to take care of this alone. So, we made a deal with our parents. We help grandma with the store when we have no lectures and in exchange we pay no rent or food at home. And sometimes we meet interesting people at work.”

“You study?” you ask interested and ignore the flirt attempt, “I’m going to study too. I just moved here but on Monday I have my first day. I study medicine.”

“That’s cool,” Martin says and tries to get a little closer to you, “you seem to be a nice girl. Caring for others. I study business. My brother studies marketing. We want to take over our family’s business one day. Hey, maybe we get to see each other at university soon.”

“I don’t think so,” you mumble sorry, “don’t take it personally, but my father is quite rich. He wants me to go to an exclusive private school.”

“None offence taken, but my brother and I are on an exclusive private school too,” Martin says grinning, “you thought this shop is the whole family business, right? Sorry, Ashley, but this is just the shop of my grandparents. My father owns a trading company with own warehouses. He only supports our grandparents with this shop. We are very rich too.”

“Oh, really, I’m sorry,” you mumble a little ashamed, “you are right, I thought this shop was the whole business.”

“I forgive you,” Martin says laughing, “But if you want to make up for your unforgivable mishap, I maybe have a suggestion.”
