continue orientation

I walk through the side entrance to the studios and can't help but grin broadly. At last, I'm here, and I belong!

The three of us walk straight to the offices and are greeted by the secretary. I've met her before. Her name is Amber, and she starred in several movies with my parents when they were active. She has aged, but she is still a smoking-hot sexpot. She's always treated me like a little brother, but then again, she used to change my diapers when I was a baby. I'd love the chance to show her that I've grown a little bit in that area since then.

“Good morning,” Amber greets us, warmly. “Welcome to your first day on the job, Jeremy.”

Amber gives my parents their schedules for the day and tells them that their first meeting of the day starts in five minutes in the conference room. They ask Amber if she can take me in hand (I can't help but snicker, perversely, at the phrase) and show me around, continuing my orientation. She is only too happy to oblige.

Amber explains that in addition to Production and Personnel, there are other departments, such as Ideas, which is responsible for coming up with new concepts for movies, writing the scripts, scouting locations, and designing the sets. Another department is Marketing, which gets the word out about new releases and sells them to the stores.

So much to soak in at one time! Do I want to start out by checking out Production, Personnel, Ideas, or Marketing? For that matter, I'm now the Special Assistant to the President, so should I see just how much authority I have, starting with reminding Amber that she is to “take me in hand?”

I’m also curious about what it is, exactly, that my sister does around here. She’s been rather mysterious about it, every time I asked.
