Chat Time!

The Oni Chieftains' body falls to my side and I step back. I hear someone's footprints and turn to see my gramps at my side. He's moving at full speed and I see him pause when I look at him. I realize that my senses are heightened, especially my hearing now. I can hear the sounds of Hino and Myla running. Kallen, Sugano and Kagiyama walk a ways behind them.

"Eric? What kind of spell is this?" My gramps asks and I open my mouth. I try to speak but all that comes out is a weird kind of growl. "Eric?" He asks and I try again. I crouch down and use my claw to write in the dirt. as I finish the word not, I get hugged by Myla.

"Are you okay?" She asks while running her hands over me, checking for any wounds. I start nodding and she sighs with relief.

"What spell is this?" Hino asks and my gramps laughs.

"Whatever it is, it makes him unable to talk." He says and I start nodding while pointing to him. I crouch back down and erase what I started on the dirt.

"Larion, come here." Sugano says once she gets close. I turn and see Kallen and Kagiyama are both heavily injured. It looks like Kagiyama broke an arm and Kallen has a deep cut on his shoulder. However, they're bleeding has already stopped. Sugano points her staff toward my gramps and he gets enveloped in a layer of water.

"Eric, what spell is that?" Kallen asks and I growl. My gramps laughs and Myla hits my shoulder.

"He can't talk right now." Hino says and he nods. I write the words 1 hour before I return. I'm hoping they can fill in the rest.

"So you can't return to normal until the spell ends in an hour?" Myla asks and I nod.

"Eric, if you have the mana. could you heal up the guys? I've managed to stop the bleeding but I can't do more. Our healers won't get here for another thirty minutes. They can't get in until the movie outside ends." Sugano asks and I shake my head no before erasing the dirt again. I write, Can't cast non-Beast magic. Sugano sighs before thanking me.

"So what now?" My gramps asks. "Since we can't leave during the movie because people could see. What should we do?" He continues.

"The girls and I will go move the bodies. We'll get them ready for our harvesters." Sugano says and I stand up. "You're coming to, Eric?" She asks and I nod. I don't want to be left with the guys without being able to talk. That and I want to go collect the drops from the Oni I killed. I start by storing the Chieftains drops. I follow the girls back to the village and collect all the drops. We start dragging all the bodies to a clear space in the village. I'm able to drag one on my own, but the girls need to work together. This demonstrates to me just how much my strength has gone up with this. We finish in a few minutes and sit down near an empty dirt patch.

"That's a very useful skill you have." Hino says while stretching her arms. "I wish we brought blankets or something to lay on." She continues and Myla giggles.

"So Hino, is there a reason you didn't tell me you had a date today?" Sugano asks and Hino flinches. "And don't try to deny it, you've never once been so picky about what you wear. You asked for my opinion on seven different outfits last night."

"I didn't want to deal with dad." Hino replies, awkwardly and Sugano nods.

"You know he just worries about you."

"Yeah, I just don't like talking about this stuff." Hino says with a blush and Sugano chuckles.

"You still get embarrassed about this that much?" Sugano asks and Hino nods.

"I was wondering why you didn't tell his grandpa we were out on a date." Myla says and I nod in agreement.

"I was just embarrassed." Hino says and I pet her. I do it more on reflex than thought. I see her smile and continue petting her for a bit.

"Eric, how are things going with the Steele Wolves?" Sugano asks and I let out a weak growl to emphasize I can't talk. Hino and Myla both start laughing.

"I can tell you a bit. He's started a farm in his Domain. Well, it sounds more like Ramia and her parents have. He's letting them use it as they want. He did say he'd like to eventually sell some of the Alchemy ingredients they grow. but for now, Ramia has free reign. Also, they'll have their guild hall tomorrow or on Monday. But it needs repairs. There's a missing corner right now." Myla says and Sugano gasps.

"Why'd he get that one then?" She asks and Hino smiles.

"Because it's out of the way. So people are less likely to see it. The land around it is for sale too. So they can always expand it later. It is going to need a lot of work though. But it has a lot of potential. I'm excited to see what they do with the place." Hino says and Sugano nods. The girls continue talking for a while until a group of ten people show up. They're running toward the destroyed village from the theater. Four of them are wearing white uniforms with a green plus. The other six wear a uniform made of leather with various tools on their waist. One of them shouts when he sees me, still as a Werewolf.

"Calm down, this is just Eric. He's the guild master of Steele Wolves. He and the girls here were watching the movie when the Dungeon formed." Sugano explains and the guy nods. She tells them where Kallen, Kagiyama, and my gramps are. The healers run down to treat them and the others start harvesting the Oni corpses.
