What Does She Say?
Clowns
"My biggest fear is clowns." Hino says, embarrassed. Myla lets out a small laugh hearing this.
"Sorry, sorry. I just wasn't expecting that. Why are you scared of clowns?" Myla asks and Hino shrugs.
"I don't know. I just never liked them. They always creeped me out. The creepiness eventually turned into fear." Hino replies causing Myla to nod.
"I know what to dress up as for Halloween now." I say and Hino glares at me. "Don't worry it's not a clown. I'll be a Troll with clown makeup." I continue causing both of them to glare at me. I laugh before Lucy returns with our food.
"It looks like you three are having a good time." She says while stopping. She places our food down in front of us. "I'll be back in a bit to check up on you." She says before leaving. I take a bite of my chicken alfredo.
"How is it?" Hino asks after taking a bite of her eggplant parmigiana.
"It's good. I like it, how's yours?" I ask back.
"I like it." She says and I turn to Myla.
"It's good. It's got too much sauce for my tastes though." She answers before I can even ask. I smile and take another bite. I look around and see the tables around us are still empty.
"So I have another question for you two. How was it growing up with your guilds?" I ask them.
"It was good. I was able to let loose with training to relieve school stress. But it was a bit stressful trying to hide my Lyna side. Especially from my friends in school. It's become easier now though. The principal being a Lyna certainly helps. Beforehand I had to keep making excuses for my school. Although it was annoying at times when people would try to befriend me to get on my father's good side." Myla says and I nod.
"It was pretty much the same for me. Except I didn't have school friends. I was too focused on training to make some. I have friends in the guild though. I never had issues with people trying to befriend me to get on my parent's good side though." Hino answers and I nod.
"Now I have a question for you Eric. How did you feel when you got your magic back? Were you excited, scared, or something else?" Myla asks.
"A bit of both. I had never seen anything like this before. But I was excited. I was also confused though. So I started to explore it. I knew if I did nothing with it I'd regret it. Also, nothing beforehand really interested me much. Like I never had any goals or dreams. I was just drifting through life. So when I got my magic back, I poured my everything into it." I reply.
"You didn't have any goals in life?" Hino asks me a little surprised.
"Not really. I had a few hobbies, but nothing kept me interested for long." I reply and she nods.
"But what about you two? Do you have any goals and hobbies?" I ask and they each nod.
"Yeah, I think I can speak for both of us. But I always planned on taking over as Guilmaster for the Silver Garden. I'm nowhere near ready yet. But I will be in a few years." Myla says and Hino nods.
"It's the same for me. I'm going to be Guildmaster for the Blue Locus. Aside from that my hobbies are training and working out. I just enjoy moving around both for training and working out. It's also nice to let loose and practice my magic." Hino says before tilting her head in thought. "That's about it for my hobbies."
"I enjoy reading. I tried video games before with some friends, but they make me mad. The ones I played had magic and monsters in them. But I couldn't help but compare them with real ones. It always made me mad how magic differed in games from real life." Myla adds and I nod.
"Yeah, I can see that." I say before taking another bite. We finish eating while talking about our past. I'm a little surprised to learn that Myla and Hino hated each other when they meet. Apparently, they sparred and ended the match with a draw. They each claimed they won and fought over that for a while. I laugh hard upon hearing this and make them mad. Lucy returns after that with an awkward smile upon seeing their faces.
"Would you like to order any more food or desserts?" She asks and we tell her no. "Then I'll be right back with your bill." She says before leaving.
"So Eric, there's something I've been wondering about. What's Larion like?" Myla asks.
"He's okay I guess. It's hard to describe. But he mostly just does what he wants. He always made sure I took care of myself too. He even made me take a few classes on self-defense. The first time he came to visit me after my magic came back, he tried to attack me." I say and she nods. Lucy returns with the bill and places it on the table.
"Thanks for coming to Olive Garden, I hope to see you again soon." She says before leaving. I take the bill and read it over. With tax, it comes out to 70.96$. I take 85$ out of my inventory to leave a 14$ tip. I pause for a few seconds when I see I have almost half a million in my inventory.
"Are you two ready?" I ask and they nod. We get up and leave the restaurant. Once we get outside I turn to the girls.
"Do you two have any preferences for what to do next?" I ask and they shrug.
"Nope, we're fine with whatever." Myla says and I nod. I start thinking of where to go next. I think of a place immediately and smile, a little sadistically.
"Then follow me. I know the perfect place." I say and Myla sighs.
"I don't trust that smile." Hino says causing me to smile further. I lead the way to our next destination and the girls follow.
