Nu Attacks First

Nu-13 jutted an arm out and pointed directly at Penny, causing the blades that made up her "wings" to shoot forward. Each of the eight blue blades launched toward the android, one right after the other. Penny responded to the Murakumo Unit's attack by trying to deflect each of the blades using her own weapon, Floating Array. Commanding the thin cabals on her back to move her ten swords in a downward formation, deflecting the first two blades from Nu's ****. For the next two, Penny would swing Floating Array up before finally moving the black swords in an enclosed ring formation, spinning them rapidly, which sent off the next three blades in a multitude of directions. Unfortunately for Penny, the final blade was able to pass through a gap in the ring of swords. The Protector of Mantle didn't have any time to fully dodge as the blade raced toward her and scraped against the side of Penny's head as she attempted to step out of the blade's path.

For a moment, a green field of energy flickered around Penny's entire body when the blade connected with her temple. It was her aura, which acted as a field of energy that surrounded the body of its user and was powered by a being's soul. Despite being completely synthetic, Penny had an aura; she had a soul, one that was shared with her by her father. Aura would bestow upon its users one specific ability known as a semblance, though not everyone would discover their semblance during their lifetime. Penny was one of those people, only using her aura for its most basic function, a **** field. It was like a second bar of health in a video game; aura would protect the user's body, clothes, and weapons from damage as long as it was active. Additionally, aura can also heal its user if they had sustained any injures prior to it activation.

Penny took a step back from the blow she had just taken, the Floating Array moving out of the ring formation and back behind her. The android looked over to her opponent, who floated in the same position as before but with her bladelike wings now gone. Penny gritted her teeth and pointed an arm at Nu; two swords behind her moved in front of their user and folded. The folded swords had a hole where the tip would be, a hole that was glowing with green energy that seemed to quickly get brighter in a matter of milliseconds. The two then fired green beams out of them, both directed at the Sword of Hades.

The beams raced toward Nu at light speed, though the Murakumo unit didn't seem to be fazed, her face remaining neutral as she simply swung her body to the side. As she did so, her blades returned to her, forming a fan-like formation in front of her body that followed her movement. Upon making contact with the "wings", Penny's beams splintered, hitting a variety of objects. The floor, the ceiling, the wall to their left, and even the cauldron behind Nu but not her.

Upon realizing that her beam attack wasn't going to work, Penny ceased fire, moving the two swords back into the array. The android then activated the thrusters on the back of her legs, causing her to float slightly above the ground. If a ranged **** wasn't going to work, then a close-quarters one would be needed. With that, Penny put more **** into her thrusters, causing her to race toward Nu at a blinding speed. Penny reeled her arm back in preparation to punch her opponent in the face.

The Anti-Sankishin weapon turned to face her foe, her visor covering the expression on her face as Penny charged at her. Before Nu could even make a move, she was met with a blow to the face. The android's gloved fist had decked Nu straight on, cracking the right side of her visor slightly. Rather than letting out a grunt or moan of pain from the attack, Nu instead responded in a duller manner, "Damage received." she stated, which caused Penny to quirk an eyebrow at the bizarrely obvious statement to her attack.

Recovering from the attack, Nu then whipped her head in a circle, her long ponytail following her head's movement, causing the blade tied to the end of her ponytail to strike Penny in the face and cause her aura to flicker once more. A pained noise escaped the android's mouth as she jetted herself backwards a bit in order to gain space. Not wasting another second, Penny summoned a sword forward and swung at her shorter opponent, who met her attack with one of her own blades. The edged weapons clashed for a second, sending sparks flying. Both artificial women quickly recalled their blades, but Nu would be the first to attack again, going for a strike to the head using the blade on her left arm.

Penny's aura would flicker once more as the blade connected with the arm that she raised to protect her head. After pushing Nu's arm to the side, the robot girl launched her next attack, swinging Floating Array in a left-moving longitudinal arc. "Evasion." Nu stated as she moved to her right to avoid the attack, though she would still be partially hit as one of Penny's swords would slash into the artificial human's left arm, making a tear in her blue body suit and leaving a skin-deep cut on the upper section of her arm. "Pained." Nu uttered.
