Good point, Valkyria is stuck with Jake now, Sarah could dump him at any time.

Sarah brightened at the suggestion. "That's a great idea," she said. "I'm sure Dana would love that. And maybe we could even do some training ourselves. I mean, I know I could use some practice, and you're clearly an incredible fighter."

Valkyria nodded in agreement. "Absolutely. And who knows, maybe we can even convince Jake to help out. As much as I hate to admit it, he's a skilled fighter too. And he’s really the only one who could help me with some werewolf-specific training."

Sarah's face fell slightly at the mention of Jake, but she quickly masked it. "Yeah, that's a good idea," she said, her tone a bit more subdued than before.

Valkyria noticed the change in Sarah's demeanor. "You know, Sarah, I need to believe that Jake can be good and do good and act with kindness and compassion," Valkyria said. "After all, you can dump him anytime you want. But I'm bound to him, and I owe him my life. No matter how selfish he might be, submitting to him is far, far better than being in Razorclaw's living hell."

Valkyria sighed, feeling the weight of her past heavy on her shoulders. She had seen so much darkness and cruelty in the world, but she refused to let that color her view of Jake. She could see the reflection of her own pain and trauma when she looked into his eyes. She believed he had a good heart somewhere in there, buried deep beneath the layers of his long and traumatic life.

"I'm not saying that you have to forgive him for everything," Valkyria continued. "But maybe it's worth trying to see the good in him. And if we can help him become a better person, maybe it will be worth it in the end."
