I didn't use any kind of mind control on you, not on purpose. Please believe me when I say that I would never do that to anyone, especially not someone I consider a friend.”

She paused, searching Sarah’s eyes, hurt by the accusation and betrayal she found there. “I think I know what happened, though."

She hesitated for a moment before continuing. "After we… after you fell asleep, I went and found Jake. Jake told me that because I was turned into a werewolf by him, an ancient, I might have some pretty powerful abilities that are yet to manifest themselves. One of those abilities he described is the ability to produce pheromones that can influence those around me, particularly when I'm in my werewolf form."

Sarah's expression softened somewhat, but her voice was laced with disbelief as she asked, "Lowering my inhibitions? That's why I was so... vulnerable?"

Her eyes were wide as she continued, "But...I don't understand. Why did I want you to dominate me? Why did I like it so much?" Her voice shook with a mix of emotions. "I don't even know you that well. Why would my body betray me like that?"
