How Do Things Play Out From Here?

AJ and Pinkie Fight By the Water

Pinkie and Applejack searched around near the corridor for a bit before Pinkie, unsurprisingly, managed to find the hidden switch to the door. When she hit the switch the red sandstone door slowly slid down into the floor, Applejack said a few curse words under her breath due to the fact she had wanted to take that door as part of her loot from this dungeon. When the door was removed from their vision, they saw what looked like a smooth black sand floor that expanded out about 25 feet before running into a wall that blocked their view but they could see that the wall make the path make a sharp turn right.

Applejack readied her war hammer, and began slowly striding forward, and Pinkie pulled her lute out from her hair before taking looking at it then stowing it and pulling out her accordion before following the orange mare’s lead. The two entered the chamber and followed the wall, it came to an end after fifteen feet and both mares beheld an underground lake that was at least 60 feet across in all directions, the chamber itself appeared to be at least two to three times in size, the ceiling was a good fifty feet up. The two gave each other a quizzical look, they didn’t remember going down a decline, at most they should have been 35 feet down, it was a mystery as to where the extra fifteen feet had come for the ceiling.

Pinkie and Applejack slowly approached the pool, when they were about thirty-five feet from the pool it began to roil and a fish-like mare emerged from the water, she had almost no attire to speak of. All she had on was an exceptionally revealing bikini bottom, the rest of her body was completely uncovered, her rather small breasts (it looked like they were on the upper end of the B-Cups or lower end of the C-Cups) were free and would probably be swaying free if they were considerably more prominent. The fish-mare had a pair of sturdy legs and arms, the legs looked like they could be brought together to form a tail similar to a seapony but could also be divided for land walking as needed. Her face had a much more fish-like structure to it but still had features that could be defined as being equine in nature. Her body was built in a similar manner to that of an athlete, which considering she appeared to be aquatic was a fair assessment.

“Ah, I see there are visitors, the only way you are passing is if you face me,” said the fish-mare with a voice that sounded almost like it she was gurgling something in the back of her throat. When she opened her mouth to speak, Applejack and Pinkie saw rows of sharp teeth in her mouth, they then noticed what she was carrying. She had a massive blue energy spear, the thing had just appeared in her hand while she was talking, it looked to be at least ten feet long.

Applejack readied for an attack, she made a call to Pinkie to prep for combat. Pinkie’s response was to play the accordion, which sounded like someone playing a pipe organ for some reason. The fish-mare charged at Applejack, who just barely managed to position her shield in time to block the attack. Applejack followed up the attack from the opposing unit with a strong swing of her apple themed war hammer, her opponent dodged out of the way, right into a massive puddle of fudge that Pinkie somehow managed to drop on the sand floor without any of the topping getting gobbled up by the sand and in the exact direction of the fish-mare’s dodge. She was not amused, she also managed to block Pinkie’s attack and throw the pink mare almost twelve feet behind Applejack.

Pinkie was longer making use of her musical instrument, she now had an arming sword readied, along with a parrying dagger in her other hand. Applejack returned her shield to her side and gripped the haft of her war hammer to provide more control from her movements and more power in her blows. The two charged at the spear-wielding fish-mare from opposing sides, the puddle Pinkie had used on their opponent was now gone but the remains of that puddle were still upon the fish-mare herself.

The fish-mare prepared herself for the ****, blocking Applejack’s attack with her spear, the orange mare hit with such **** that she sent the target of her attack flying through the air and crashing into the pool. A moment later the fish-mare emerged from the water, completely devoid clothing this time. Applejack to a quick aside glance at Pinkie, somehow the bikini bottom was hanging undamaged from the parrying dagger’s hilt, Applejack just huffed and rolled her eyes before returning her attention to her opponent. This wasn’t the first time she fought a naked enemy, and likely wouldn’t be the last either.

The fish-mare positioned her spear between her legs and started thrusting as if she were using her hips as soon as she got within ten feet of Applejack. The orange mare blocked the attack with the shaft of her weapon, she was thankful her hammer and shield had enchantments on them, otherwise, her blocks would have been like using tissue paper to stop a sling bullet against this opponent’s attacks.

Applejack did her best to draw her opponent's attention while Pinkie hopefully dealt the actual blow for taking out the fish-mare. Of course, this was Pinkie and that mare was more than a little random. Applejack just hoped that randomness didn’t work against her during this fight.

“Boop the snoot,” came Pinkie’s shrill voice, as she tapped what would be the nasal area of a pony. “We win,” said Pinkie in her chipper voice.

“Indeed you do,” said the fish-mare, moving to a more neutral stance and dismissing her energy weapon. “And you pass, those doors over there,” she gestured to a visible door to the right of the pond and straight ahead of Applejack, “only lead to decoy chambers, nothing of any real interest is there.” She summoned an amulet that was in the shape of a serpent’s tail, “look about the room for this symbol,” she handed it to Pinkie, “and apply the amulet to it to reveal the true door out of this chamber. You did well, it has been some time since I had a match that actually lasted a few minutes, all my opponents in recent memory barely made it to the forty-second mark if they were lucky. I leave you to it, enjoy your dungeon dive, and you can keep whatever you took from me as loot and a reminder of your fun time here.” With that the fish-mare dove back into the pool.

Pinkie passed the amulet to Applejack and set to placing stamps on three of the chamber’s walls. Applejack spent some time looking about the room. It took her almost twenty minutes, and Pinkie’s assistance, but the mark on the wall was found, ironically it was about ten feet to the left of where Pinkie had stamped on the far right wall. Applejack pressed the amulet to the matching image on the wall and a space fifteen feet wide and twenty feet high, with a coral patterned rounded frame, seemed to melt away from and materialize into the wall. The amulet glowed a bit in Applejack’s then transformed into an aquatic-themed spear wear she held it. The orange mare shrugged and commented giving it to one of their aquatic friends before she and Pinkie made their way into the secret passage, the entrance returning to being a wall after they had passed fifteen feet into the passageway beyond.

“They just left a large room with black sand and a pool of water,” said Twilight as she looked through the Arcane Eyes that were the stamps she passed out to her friends, “I don’t know if they had any sort of encounter but it looks like if they did that encounter was pretty close to negligible.”

“Well, at least they’re okay,” said Rarity with a sigh of relief, “last I saw them we had just entered a room with two doors that both had some not so inviting implications.”

“And I thank you for your report on everything that happened,” said Twilight. “Now, about our new associate in the door…”

“If you’re thinking of transporting me the normal way,” said the figure in the door, “forget it, part of the spell keeps me here includes knowledge things that can negatively affect my condition. You can’t just take me out of this place, it’s flowing with high concentrations of ambient magic, if I’m removed from a high magic zone for more than twenty minutes I basically turn into a non-magical door, and even if you did do something to separate me from the door after that time you have the door and my dead corpse on your hands, and on top of that neither my body or the door could be used as the target for any kind of magic for at least a day.”

“Yeah, that sounds bad,” Rainbow and Brass in unison, they both blinked a few times and stared at one another, seemingly surprised they would both say the same thing almost the exact same way at the same time.
