Nora's Day

Mornings classes went as usual. Of course, Nora couldn't focus. She tried to keep her eyes out. Maybe someone else had marks or bruises if their encounters were anything like her own. Or maybe she could she'd be able to tell if one of her classmates was acting differently.

Nora notices nothing out of the ordinary that morning.

By lunchtime, she decided to take a different approach. She listened to the rumor mill. She heard an array of opinion and rumor, crushes, fights between roommates, lesbian romances conducted in away from the prying eyes of the sisters. But, there were two rumors that caught her attention.

Abby had gotten injured last night. She had been to the nurse in the morning over some injuries that had 'happened during practice' but none of her teammates could remember her getting hurt on the field. And Emily, who had been seen reading strange books filled with images and descriptions of monsters and beasts covered in mouths and tentacles.

Either could be nothing, but either could be exactly what Sister Evelyn had been talking about.

The only question is who to go talk to.
