Chapter 28 by SingingLark SingingLark

Does Liandra like any of the items?

Ring of the berserker

"I think I shall take the ring of the berserker, then. If it really doesn't have a curse...and besides, it may help me defend the ones I love" The dark elf agreed, and offered the ring, which fit Liandra perfectly.

The image of a powerful tigress assailed her mind, a powerful huntress prowling in a distant jungle. Power, ferocity, hunger, the princess could feel it all coursing through her veins. She growled, and the dark elf asked "Can you feel it?"

"Name the price" The princess was euphoric "three emeralds, or its equivalent worth in whatever combination of jewels and coin, princess"

"You shall have it, when we next meet in Luxius." The princess kissed her good byes, and continued strolling down the street, now with newfound confidence.

The sense of wonder didn't diminish, in fact the city felt even more magical with her enhanced senses. Not only the people“s appearance were alien to her, but also she found how much their odors also spoke about them. Some appeared strong but were actually afraid, while others were seemly weak, but strode with great confidence. She was enjoying her olfative adventure when she picked the reek of fear.

She had no conscience of what she was doing, she hurried down the street, bumping on more than one bypasser, until she reached an alley. The smell came from the small half man with common clothes and bare feet, a halfling! The small chubby person was circled by several orcs, perhaps half a dozen, they were armed and armored in black leather.

With royal command she ordered "Unhand him at once!" That did get their attention, but their reactions weren't those of fear, or respect. She wasn't in Luxius, these weren't her people, for them she was just a foreign lass. The taller, the leader, a disgusting pig faced warrior with herculean proportions, told her "This doesn't concern you, human. We have business with the little fellow". The only scent she could get from them was lust, and anger. If she left now the halfling would take a savage beating.

Perhaps this really isnt her business... Perhaps Liandra should let it go?
