AR - Means and Ends Part 3

You expected this, but you figured it would come later. Like if Stef pulled this off, then you would make a date for the hot tub or whatever. You and Adella aren’t dressed or ready for a date of any kind. You’re in casual clothes and you both would probably want to shower, and that must be obvious to Stef. She just doesn’t care. You vibe with that level of horniness, but she has like an Adella-level caliber of confidence as well. You’re a bit jealous.

You look to Adella, but she’s unreadable. She’s leaving it up to you.

“Um,” you say uncertainly.

“Oh,” Stef replies, watching your face with a cocky look. “No, I understand. You’re a huge pussy. Like your mom.”

The words are like a jolt of lightning on several levels. The implication, whatever it might be about your mom. The reminder that she’s old friends with your mom. Stef’s out of nowhere, extremely spicy level of sass. It’s a lot.

You bristle. Adella senses it and smiles, raising an eyebrow. You shouldn’t rise to Stef’s bait, but she did just agree to help out your team. You plant your hands on your hips and glare at her.

“Fine,” you say.

“Fine,” she echoes, doing her best not to laugh. Or to look too pleased. “I’ll make some margaritas.”

“Perfect,” you reply, ignoring the look that Adella’s giving you.

You march into the living room and plop beside Jessica, who looks startled. Then self-conscious. She straightens up, fixing her robe, and putting her popcorn aside.

“Hi,” she says as Adella joins you.

Jessica senses the energy. “Is Stef being a jerk?” she asks worriedly.

“It’s fine,” you reply. “What are we watching?”

“What are we? Oh. Oh,” Jessica repeats, her eyes widening a little. She blushes.

Stef wasn’t lying about Jessica being at least partly talk. She straightens up some more and clears her throat, laughing nervously. You can see that she’s watching Supernatural.

Adella puts her arm around you.

“You don’t mind if we join you,” she says to Jessica, although it doesn’t come out sounding like a question.

“No, no,” she replies quickly. She’s cute, but you’re still stuck on Stef. What did she mean? Did she try this with your mom? You need to focus on the present. It’s not the kind of situation you can be checked out for, but Jessica has gone a little silent. You can see what she’s looking at. You and Adella are both wearing leggings; leggings don’t really keep secrets.

You realize that Jessica didn’t know. And neither did Stef.

Stef must have imagined Jessica watching her have a sex sandwich with two nubile younger women. These two were thinking there would be one penis in the house if things heated up. The joke is on them.
