Surprisingly well, at first

"What's the hold up?!" A voice shouted, causing Max to freeze. She looked over her shoulder to see Victoria marching towards her angrily as Chloe and Rachel took up the front. Max looked back to the figure, noticing that it still hadn't seen her yet.

Chloe and Rachel walked up to Max and stood next to her. They were just about to say something when they both noticed the figure, their eyes going wide as they closed their mouths.

"Well, Max?!" Victoria snapped as she walked up to the other three, "Did you find that stupid - "

But Max was ready this time.

Placing a hand over Victoria's mouth, the smaller girl brought a finger to her and hushed the blonde before gesturing to the skunk, which was still foraging around the trash can. Victoria paled and went quiet, nodding as she got the message.

"J-just back away slowly until we're out of firing range." Rachel whispered as the girls did just that. Once they were out of firing range, the four turned and ran for the truck.

"Oh, man!" Rachel laughed, "That was a close one! Just a second too late and we wouldn't be doing anything social for a while."

"Ugh! I don't even wanna think about that!" Victoria groaned, despite not being able to keep the laugh out of her voice. She would never admit it, but she was actually having fun.

Max didn't have the heart to tell Victoria that in another timeline, she was sprayed four times, let alone once. That's when she remembered, her eyes going wide in shock. That's right! They got skunked three times tonight! She had to be on her guard on the other sprayings, or else...

Max's train of thought died as soon as she felt a pair of lips pressed against hers, looking up to see Chloe kissing her passionately. Max's face warmed up as she kissed the blue haired girl back. After a few seconds, the two girls broke apart.

"That's for living up to your name, SuperMax." Chloe said with a wink.

"And here's my "Thank You'." Rachel said, giving Max a kiss on the lips as well.

"Oh, get a room!" Victoria groaned, rolling her eyes as she made her way over to the truck to get dressed again.

Max's mind was a haze as Rachel pulled away, a dopey smile on her face as her legs turned into jello. Turning towards the truck, Max saw Victoria digging through the clothes in the bed for her outfit...

And her eyes went wide in horror as she saw the second skunk they ran into tonight beginning to stir, completely unnoticed by the blonde.

"Oh no!" Max gasped quietly, much to the confusion of Rachel and Chloe. She had to save their clothes and Chloe's truck before they were both sprayed by the skunk!

Oh, and spare Victoria the fate as well...
