A loose gun is probably worse than Eric's antics

You decide not to let Eric get more attention than necessary so you lean calmly over to the passenger side to get a look at the scene in the foot well. pushing some papers and plastic wrappers to the side, you feel something that feels suspiciously like a gun handle. You carefully wrap your fingers around the grip and pull the item up.

You sigh with relief as you look at the item. It's a weird thing, gun shaped but small, not much longer than your index finger. it looks more like a 60s sci-fi television prop weapon. It has lightning bolt wing details and tori floating around a small tesla coil rod with a polished ball at the tip. There are some knobs and buttons and small text screens with some text rolling across it like a news ticker.

"-Stereotype gun mk2023, just think and shoot-," you read before you are distracted by a shrill cry from Eric who now was spinning around in a whirlwind of tantrum energy from being ignored for too long.

"What the hell are you doing Eric?" you say as you scamper out of the driver's seat.

"I'm done doing this!" He said in front of the car, jump-stomping the ground for effect. "Buying used cars sucks balls! Just get over with it and lets drive back!"

You turn away from him to avoid having him see you want to tear your hair out as you glance around to see if anyone else are noticing the scene. There's half a dozen other customers idly walking the parking lot a hundred feet away or so, and the primary salesman is currently trying to close the deal on a hunk of junk pickup with some sucker a few rows further away. But you notice they are giving you and Eric the side eye.

"Listen Eric-" you say as you turn back around towards Eric. You bend over slightly as he had slid down the front of the car and was sitting and spitting and slightly sobbing. You point at him with your right hand when you hear a high frequency charging sound. You glance down and realize you've accidentally pulled the trigger of the ray gun in your hand.
