FIVE Miserable DAYS!

The day you twisted your ankle you didn't make much more progress, having to sit down constantly to take pressure off of your foot. It wasn't all bad though. Blue used these breaks as an opportunity to massage your ankle, and your foot, and up your thigh. You aren't sure if you are more disappointed or relieved that Blue didn't take the opportunity to make a move.

The Second day was somewhat better. Your ankle was feeling a little better and you and Blue managed to get into a routine with walking for a half an hour, taking a break, him massaging you for a bit, and then starting back up. All in all today was looking like a good day.

"Hay you! I challenge you to a Pokemon Battle!" That was until you got challenged to a Pokemon battle by a boy who looks to be the same age as you and Blue.

Hoping the boy would see reason you ask him "Look, can we NOT do this right now?"

This simply causes the boy to laugh "And why would I want to do that?"

"Because" Blue says, stepping in front of you "After you fight her you will have to fight me. If you make me fight you, WHEN I beat you I wont be taking your money. I will take one of the dildos out of our pack and shove it up your ass." For a moment everyone is silent as everyone processes the threat. A threat which you realize is a bluff, simply because you don't have any dildos in the pack. Unless Blue packed some...

You are left wondering about the possible existence of Blue's dildo collection by the panicked voice of your would be challenger "No, no man. I'm good." With that the boy turns around and starts running down the road as fast as he can.

Once the boy is out of sight you can't help but break out into laughter "Did you see his face Blue!? I thought he was going to crap himself! Hahahaha!"

"Yeah, it was pretty funny." Blue responds with a smile. "But where there is one of those them there will be more."

"I mean sure, but how many more could there be?"

We found out how many more there could be about half way through the third day in the forest when we heard voices coming from behind us. This time there were three of them, with one of them looking like he might be maybe a little older than you and Blue.

With a quite whisper under his breath of "shit" Blue grabs your arm and leads you off the side of the road into the bushes.

The two of you hide in the bushes and wait for the three men pass by. As they get closer you can hear them talking among themselves "Man this year has been a total bust. Where are all the bitches at?!"

"Keep your dick in your pants, the new season has just started. Most of the fresh meat hasn't had time to make their way here yet."

"Alright, alright. But I gotta say, this time last year I had already emptied my balls in at least three bitches!"

"Well just be patient, every trainer has to pass through Viridian Forest eventually. And when they do, we'll be here."

"Yeah yeah, I know. But still..."

They continue to talk amongst themselves as they walk past your hiding place until you can't hear them anymore. Even when they are gone you and Blue don't move out of your hiding spot. Instead the two of you give each other a look, for once both of you thinking the same thing. You have to stay off the road.

Which is why on the forth day you and Blue find yourself, 'trail blazing' as Blue put it, through the trees. The two of you started off at sunrise and Blue seems to be enjoying himself. You are not though. Not only is your ankle still bothering you, but you're getting tired of being outside. Of course Blue has no problem with it, he APPARIENTLY loves the woods! And the mud, and the dirt, and being outside in general. He seems especially excited as the prospect of finding something besides Weedle or Caterpie. Personally though, once you get back to civilization you hope to never go a day without a shower again.

The Gods must have a sense of humor, because early in the day while trying to cross a creek bed Blue notices two small Pokemon on the other side. Before you can even get a word out or even comprehend what the Pokemon even ARE Blue throws out a Pokeball and lets out a Bellsprout of all things.

Well, at least that answers the question of what Blue's third Pokemon was...

Snapping you out of your thoughts Blue shouts at you "Amber! Stop standing around and release Bulbasaur!"

"Uhh, alright." You say as you throw a Pokéball at the same time as Blue. Not wanting you look anymore like a fool you quickly order Bulbasur to "Use Vine Whip!" Hoping that your Pokemon has a better look at what is actually going on than you do.

The next few seconds are a confusing blur as the fight quickly devolves into a blur of yellow and green, vines, sparks, and is that FIRE!? Reacting more on reflexes than on any conscious thought you throw a Pokeball towards where you saw the flame occur and here the notable sound of a Pokeball Capture. Blue throws his Pokeball at the other mass of yellow and you soon hear the sound of another confirmed capture.

The first thing you do is run over to your Bulbasaur, who is sitting right next to your thrown Pokeball. "Bulbasaur, are you ok?!" You lazy little pet seems to have a few slight burns, but when she smiles up at you, you know that she is fine. Wrapping her up in a hug you tell her "Good job Bulbasaur! Now lets go see what we have." You grab the Pokeball and release the creature inside to see what you happened to catch.

You look at the Pokemon and see a small four legged Pokemon that is mostly yellow with a bit of green on the top of its humped back. A Numel, you caught yourself a Numel.

You kneel down in front of your new Numel "Hay there little guy, nice to meet you. I'm Amber" Slowly you reach out your hand, doing your best to not startle it. The Numel is obviously confused, but slowly you move your hand to the top of its head and start to gently scratch it. "There there little guy. Nothing to worry about"

You are interrupted by Blue "Nice throw Amber. You caught it on the first throw!"

You slightly turn you head to take a look at Blue and see a bona fide genuine smile on his face and you can't help but smile in return. You continue to scratch Numel behind the ears but ask him "So, what did you catch Blue?"

Still smiling Blue pulls out a Pokeball and tosses it, releasing the Pokemon inside and soon you see a Pikachu standing in front of you. "I got myself a Pikachu. You Jealous?"

Smiling back at him "No, not at all. Because my Numel is going to be the cutest and strongest Numel in all of Kanto." Looking back at your new Pokemon you look it in the eyes and in a silly cute voice say "Yes you are, yes you are!"

"While I hate to stop you and ruin my view" And now you realize that with you kneeling down Blue has a perfect view down the top of your shirt.

Great, just when you were starting to be in a good mood. "We do have a lot of ground to cover today."

"Fine, I guess you are right." With a groan you stand up return Bulbasaur and Numel to their Pokeballs and then set off again. Blue lets you walk ahead of him for a bit and when you turn around to look at him, you see him openly starting at your ass. Pretending you don't notice, you ask "What's the hold up Blue?"

"Oh, just admiring the view." He says with a laugh.

Not wanting to push the matter, because you know what that WILL lead to, you ignore Blue's attempt to rile you up and press on. Blue catches up with and gives your ass a slap as he passes by. You consider calling him out, but you figure out that is exactly what he wants. So you ignore the slap and start. What little good mood you had is quickly ruined and soon you are back to being miserable as you travel through the woods, getting scratched by branches, caked in mud, and all around miserable. Well, it can't get that much worse. Right?

Day Five shows just how much worse things can get.

It starts off as usual, you and Blue wake up a little before sunrise and are already on a good pace by the time the sun is fully up. But than it starts to rain, by noon it is a full down pour. By the late afternoon you and Blue are both soaked to the bone, covered in mud, ruining your socks and shoes.

Add shoes to the list of things you need to buy once you get to Pewter City. Along with a whole new wardrobe, and restoke the supplies, and see if you can get the day after pill. Assuming it would even work at this point. Oh who are you kidding! Two days was a long shot anyway, but five days!? You honestly just have to hope that you weren't fertile at the time. Now you really wish that you had kept track of your cycle, or paid attention in sex-ed class, or were on the pill. Now that you think of it, it WAS kind of odd that your Mom didn't put you on the pill?

By nightfall you are exhausted and starving. If it weren't for the fact that all of this walking was pretty good exercise you would probably be freezing. While you try to keep up a positive attitude, deep down inside, you are miserable. Your feet hurt so bad that you can barely walk. Everything is wet and soggy, and frankly you are just done with everything. Pretty much the only positive upside to it raining all day is that most of the other trainers seem to be doing the smart thing and sheltering from the storm instead of walking around like an idiot without even a rain coat.

Add rain coat to the list of things you need to buy.

But this does mean that you and Blue can go back to the main road, which does speeds up your travel time. Even with the difficulty of walking through the rain on a muddy trail considered, the road is easier to navigate and flatter than going up and down in the woods, pushing through bushes, and fording through rivers.

You seem to be making good enough time that by early evening you and Blue finally leave the edges of Viridian Forest and find yourselves back on Route 2 proper. You and Blue are gifted with a beautiful view of the evening sun setting in the horizon as the rain finally starts to let up. Too bad you are too cold, wet, and tired to actually enjoy the view.

What does give you joy is seeing Pewter City's Skyline in the distance. You are soo close you can literally see it! With your goal now in sight, you and Blue walk on past evening into the night and push on towards Pewter City. As you approach the city, you cannot help but smile. The city lights make the town look so warm and inviting, compared to the forest it is a welcome change.

Thankfully the Pokemon Center is close to the city's edge, meaning it doesn't take you and Blue long to find the place. The two of your step inside, trailing mud and water onto the formally clean floors as you do so. Walk up to the clerk at the fount counter and without even giving her a moment to speak say in unison "We need a room."

Second, this chapter was a strange one to write. I completely threw out the first draft of this while writing and started from scratch. But I finally DID IT! I got out of Viridian Forest! To put things in perspective, they have been in Viridian Forest since Chapter 21! This is Chapter 47.... Yeah most people spend 1-4 Chapters in Viridian Forest....
