Not at first glance...

"I don't see Jack or Miranda anywhere in the living room." Liara said looking through the window.

"Okay then." Jane said as she bent down and picked up a rock the size of her head, preparing to throw it at the window. "Stand back."

What neither lovebird realized was that they should have checked more than just the living room window. Up in the bedroom on the second floor, the other couple in question were still in bed, naked in each other's arms.

Miranda was underneath, smiling warmly as she slumbered, occasionally rubbing Jack's back subconsciously. The tattooed woman, on the other hand, was loudly snoring on top of Miranda, using the former Cerberus agent's breasts as a pillow while a sliver of drool ran down her chin. And at the foot of the bed sat Eezo, his snoring drowning out his owner's.

CRASH!

Eezo bolted upward, wide awake as he gave off a low growl alongside a small surge of blue biotics.

Miranda stirred as her eyes fluttered open. With a yawn, the still groggy woman asked, "Did you here something, Jack?"

"I never thought in a million years I would say this, Miri," Jack moaned, half asleep, "but not right now, Babe. I'm too tired for round forty-fiv- "

CRASH!

Now both women were wide awake, staring into each other's eyes in shock.

"You don't think somebody broke in, do you?" Miranda whispered, the sound of breaking glass coming from downstairs.

"Who the hell would be stupid enough to break into our place?!" Jack quietly snapped, carefully getting out of bed as she walked over to the bedroom door. Putting an ear to the door, the tattooed biotic heard the back door open, causing her to frown. "Son of a - I don't think so."

Eezo growled louder, almost as if he was picking up on his owner's anger.

"I'm getting our guns and clothes!" Miranda said as she climbed out of bed, wrapping the bed sheet around her as Jack nodded.

"Eezo!" Jack ordered quietly as she stepped aside and opened the door a bit. "Get 'em!"

"Jack is going to wring my neck for breaking that window." Jane muttered as she used the pool brush to sweep the shards of glass to the side before she and Liara entered. "Right after Miranda makes me pay for it."

"I'm sure they'll understand that it was an emergency. We'll even leave a note." Liara said as she gently closed the door, "Besides, you can afford to replace a window. They can afford it. Now, let's just go upstairs and see if we can borrow -"

A series of heavy footsteps, energy crackles, and growls was heard as a large shape was bounding down the stairs, causing the lovebirds to stop in their tracks. In no time at all, Eezo landed at the foot of the stairs, snarling at the intruders.

Jane and Liara merely stared at each other for a brief second before looking back at the varren.
