Chapter 4
by SingingLark
Should Liandra tell him he should stop? Or will she allow him to get away with his crime?
Politely ask him to stop
"These gifts were left there for the gods, sir, in hope for their prayers to be answered." the teenager said with determination, revealing herself from her hiding place. The man seemed unimpressed with the plea, but hardly uninterested in the elegant cleavage present even in the princess relatively chaste dress.
"The gods aren't hungry, I am" His voice sounds honest to her ears, but the man hardly looks like the part of a beggar. The man possess a large, muscular chest, strong arms, a thick beard... he looks more like a warrior, if he wore an armor he could have been a knight.
"Your actions could bring the gods displeasure on us, do you really have no option but plunder their bounty? It is a meager meal for one such as you, anyway." You try to reason with the man, and he laughs in your face "Sure, there are many options. I could turn into a beggar, and rely on other people's non existent kindness. Or I could be a thief and mug them for their money. Or I could just starve and die, and bother no longer young zealous girls with no sense of reality."
"I am no mere girl, and I wont be spoken in this manner! I am princess Liandra, and if I speak it is out of concern for my subjects" You are surprised to see he isnt kneeling "Even those whose desperation make them take foolish actions".
What solution does Liandra propose?
A naïve princess
