Chapter 35 by PieceofCredence PieceofCredence

How is Gerry gonna get out of this one? And does he get a chance to interview Bobbi?

Captain Carter to the rescue!

GERRY

This was bad. I'd planned to use Peggy and her subordinates to gather info on Hill. Surely, the head of SHEILD had a few skeletons in her closet. But right now I had no plan, no set up, not even a way to introduce myself without maybe tipping her off that I wasn't a member of her staff.

To make matters worse, she was probably the smartest person I'd encountered yet, she happened to be in charge of all the women around me right now and according to my preliminary research on her involving the app, she had a score of -92. That meant she would enjoy bossing me around and wouldn't listen to my commands, unless she had no other choice.

Despite the gray beginning to come into her short, raven hair, she probably looked older than she was, thanks to the stress of her job. She was currently wearing a navy and black outfit, complete with gloves and utility belt, not unlike the one that Batwoman wore, if a little less flashy. Oh yes, and she had multiple guns holstered to her belt, boots and underneath each arm.

"I'm so sorry, Director Hill." Peggy said, stepping forward and saluting. "It's my fault miss. I blew off at Agent Morse...Dr. Manheim just wanted to get her some space."

"Doctor Manheim?"

"He's the one who has been helping me with my problem, ma'am." Peggy hung her head and Bobbi actually looked a little surprised at the revelation that her superior had gone to therapy. Hopefully that might go some way to explaining what she'd just said to Bobbi.

"I see." Maria narrowed her eyes at me, but slowly turned to face Peggy. "Captain, I thought I gave you leave, until you sorted yourself out."

Peggy blushed. "Yes ma'am...Doctor Manheim needed to see my working conditions to make his prognosis. I only returned to give him a tour and I...got carried away. I don't know what came over me."

Maria looked at me. I could tell she didn't trust me, but then it was her job not to trust people. "Captain...I want you to clear your locker and return to your home. I don't want to see you back at SHIELD before you've received the go-ahead from Dr. Manheim. I also don't want you leaving the plot surrounding your home, until I have had time to visit you. Understood?"

"Yes, ma'am." Peggy shot me a glance as she saluted. She still viewed me as her superior, despite the fact that Maria had obviously never met me before in her life.

If my incredibly fragile ruse held up over the next half hour, I was going to need to find out who made this fucking app and send them a bouquet of flowers.

"Agent Morse, I'd like to speak to you alone." She said, gesturing for Bobbi to follow her, as she marched away from the gymnasium, in the direction of the elevators.

This was it. What Bobbi spilled to Maria could end up getting Carter fired from SHIELD. It was unlikely, people would probably just shrug it off as Carter being a "product of her time", the same way that children often look past the racism and homophobia of their grandparents and parents, to maintain the status quo. She would probably just receive some sensitivity training, maybe be given unpaid leave until she'd cleaned up her act.

And because it was SHEILD, the whole thing would probably be swept under the rug.

Probably.

Maria was a smart woman and during her tenure at SHEILD, she'd had to deal with all manner of shape-shifters, sleeper agents, nation-wide conspiracies and all manner of subterfuge. She also probably knew more about Peggy's personality and psychology, than anyone else living. If I wasn't overestimating her, Peggy's lesbophobic outburst would immediately tip her off that something was playing around with Peggy's morals, and if she did even the slightest investigating about who Dr. Manheim was, it was all over. I could hack into SHEILD's mainframe all I wanted, but if no one in the entire organization remembered actually hiring me, I would be number one suspect in why Peggy Carter was acting strangely.

My only hope, was that Bobbi would be so loyal to Peggy, that she might not reveal the extent of her psychotic bigotry.

I briefly considered exiting SHIELD and getting to some place where my super-powered Kryptonian sex-**** could protect me from the legion of government assassins about to come down on me.

"I don't understand...what could make her go off like that?" Elizabeth sounded heart-broken.

I had to stick with the plan and get as many superheroines on my side as I could. If I kept growing my reach, I soon wouldn't have to worry about what Maria could or could not do to me.

"I am so sorry about this," I said, slumping to a nearby bench. "I thought we had made progress at her previous session, but I suppose I was being too optimistic."

Elizabeth just stared at me. "You mean...she's always been like that?"

"You have to understand the pressure she's under," I explained. "The Capitan is under enormous pressure to represent the patriotism of the past, while still maintaining today's standards. I believe she doesn't truly harbor hatred for anyone, only resentment over how much more restrictive her own time was and how acceptance has been **** onto her."

I stood up. "I believe she truly cares about you, Miss Bishop and I will need your help to save her from the darkness which has overtaken her."

She looked at me, somewhat in awe of the idea of saving her own role model.

"I will of course, understand if you choose to decline after what you've heard...Captain Carter does not have many people in her life whom she trusts and I believe her anger toward your partner may be a biproduct of her own overprotectiveness regarding you."

It was what Elizabeth wanted to hear. It fell short of excusing Peggy's behavior. But Elizabeth wasn't paid to think, she was paid to shoot arrows and follow orders. And like most people, she was willing to accept what she wanted to hear, rather than face the crushing reality, that the woman she had just admitted she would die protecting, might not have been the hero she'd thought she was.

Slowly, she nodded. "I'll help however I can." She said.

"I knew you would." I said with a re-affirming nod. "Perhaps you could visit her abode the day after tomorrow? I think your positive reinforcement could be vital."

Just then the elevators returned, sans Maria Hill. Bobbi Morse was marching back the way she'd come, with a grim look on her face. It was impossible to tell what the conversation she'd shared with the director of SHEILD had been, but judging from the fact no one was charging at me, I was guessing that my bet on her loyalty had paid off.

"I'm so sorry." I said, as she approached the two of us.

"Spare me." She said, as she quickly moved to her locker and began removing possessions.

"I'd like to talk to you about what happened...some other time obvious." I said.

She glared my way and then turned back around. "Maria gave me the rest of the day off. I'm going to the spa..." With that she zipped up a bag and passed by the two of us.

"Yes, of course, you've had a trying day..." I said, stepping out of her way as she passed between me and Elizabeth. "Only...I think it would be best if we met outside SHEILD. Is there any place you would like for our interview to take place, once you're feeling up for it, of course?"

She paused on her way back into the main hallway and glanced back at me. "Yeah, sure, the Marina. I like it out there."

"Are you okay, Bobbi?" Elizabeth asked, moving closer as if to hug her.

Bobbi shied away from the affection. "I just need to think some things over."

And with that, she was gone. And Elizabeth was off to attend to one of her many duties, which meant that I had some time before I had to deal with a pissed off Batwoman outside and a certain Captain Carter who I was now allowed to punish. I also needed to do some snooping, if I was going to find the dirt I needed on Maria to bring the whole agency to bear.

But first things first...I'd gotten three updates to the app. And those three could make all the difference.

I ducked into an alcove where my phone screen would be hidden from the copious security cameras and then opened up the app. The first was so standard it was almost boring at this point.

-CONGRATULATIONS!-

You got 25 points on Elizabeth Bishop in one day! You have unlocked a bonus effect on Elizabeth Bishop!

-ORGASM LOCK-

Activating this effect makes the subject unable to orgasm, no matter how hard they try. Only you can allow them to orgasm now. The subject will be unaware of this, until you reveal this to them. They will believe this fact without suspicion, and understand now, that they can't orgasm without your approval. The subject will use their own reasoning for why this is, usually believing that you hold an erotic power they can't find elsewhere.

Activate?

Of course. It wouldn't have any profound effect at the moment, but it might help me with what I needed to get done. I scrolled to the next update.

New trait unlocked for Elizabeth Bishop!

JUST A ROOKIE

ROUTE A: MINDFUCKED or "SUPER-INFERIORITY COMPLEX"

The subject will begin to feel inferior to women with super powers. These feelings will grow every time they witness a woman with super powers using her powers.

ROUTE B: USER-INPUT or "ARE YOU MY MOMMY?"

The user can now designate one woman who the subject has met, as their mother figure. While this person is designated as such, the subject will feel the need to make the designated woman proud of her and bond with her however necessary.

And below that was something I hadn't unlocked before.

New multi-subject trait unlocked!

ROUTE A - PEGGY: JUSTICE or "THE ENFORCER"

Now, when another subject disobeys you, they will allow this subject to punish them, provided the punishment is proportional to their submission score toward you (not the subject).

ROUTE B - KATE: REGRESSION or "CAUGHT IN THE ACT"

Whenever the subject is caught disobeying the user's orders, they will revert to a bratty teenager, viewing the user as their disciplinarian father, allowing the user to punish them for the next half-an-hour. Once the punishment is over, they will return to their normal means of thinking.

Interesting. I didn't know that multi-traits were a thing. If only there was a manual to this app. Then again, uncovering just how diabolical it was one step at a time had it's own rewards.

These traits were interesting, because half of them revolved around one or more of my older victims dominating my newest victims. Certainly it would be fun to strip Elizabeth of her competitive spirit. But I didn't have any victims besides Kara who actually had super powers.

I would have to work on that. Ah, so much to do, so little time.

Meanwhile, Route B seemed more difficult to mine points out of. After all, how could I convince the girl that committing depraved and possibly illegal acts would make Peggy proud of her?

As for the new multi-trait, the first route would allow me to humiliate women who disobeyed me more often, which meant it was probably better for getting more points in the long run. But the second trait, reducing Kate to a brat about to be punished by daddy, was so tempting.

I'm honestly not sure about this one, so my first strawpoll. Tell me where you'd like the story to go this time: https://strawpoll.com/polls/05Zd192BNy6. Voting ends Monday night.
