Chapter 8

Aiko's conclusion and action.
The taller they are the harder they fall
Logically speaking the theory of memory implantation was the most credible explanation for what was happening, sure it was farfetched but she could imagine it be possible though hypnosis or something similar... despite that her gut told her this was not what was happening here, out of the two sets of memories the one where their professor spoke her mind and she sported felt like they belonged to a different person, there was a possibility this feeling was caused by the game as well, as a form of engagement of course she realised that but thinking back on how Kichiro said the game augmented reality and how he avoided commentiy on her interpretation of AR she chose to believe the impossible that this game was actually creating a new reality, just as she reached that conclusion she noticed that Yukimi had already done her roll.

She reached for an orange card, it read "GAIN" while the picture was clearly a scene out of a famous sci-fi movie were a master space samurai was trying to desuade their apprentice from attacking them, Aiko had little idea what this could mean and considered telling the other's about her conclusion but discarded the idea immediately, she was barely keeping it together she didn't need them panicking too.
Meanwhile the orange light that had enveloped Yukimi, while Aiko was thinking things over, dissipated revealing that the Idol had now grown significantly taller having grown to Aiko's height, causing her to comment exitedly in her own video
Aiko on the other hand cursed internally it just had to be an apparent change that would be difficult to explain didn't it, she couldn't let them find the truth but how would she try to cover things up moving forward ?
