Winding Paths.

Route 2 was very similar to Route 1 really, with massive amounts of greenery between Viridian City and Pewter City. The Route was actually split into two pieces; a trainer could travel through the Viridian Forest, which was known as a good shortcut, or one could bypass the forest and go through the main route. I had never been this far from home, a fact that I was struggling with to comprehend, but I wasn't about to turn back now.

The entrance into the forest was magical, with the gate leading into it showing tall trees and bug Pokémon to catch. The other road seemed simple enough, bypassing the forest by winding through a small amount of grassland. Trainers would no doubt be present on both routes, but I definitely had a decision to make.
