Chapter 7 by Travikus Travikus

What happens next?

She can't take it anymore

It went on like this for hours. Or at least, that’s what it felt like, I had no way to measure time. It was a battle of wills, one that was rigged against me. But even if it wasn’t, the monster seemed to have inexhaustible patience. He never even moved on his stool, merely repeating his orders and shocking me when needed.

Eventually, I couldn’t take it anymore.

“Kneel,” he ordered me once more. This time, I obeyed. My whole body shivering from the strain that the repeated shocks had put me through, I was quite literally falling to my knees, rather than gracefully kneeling down. But it’s not like I had much of a choice.

For the first time, I saw the monster smile faintly.

“Good girl,” he said and reached out towards me. I recoiled and growled, no stray would let anybody touch them willingly!

His smile vanished and pain even worse than before took me. Not only did it hurt more, the shocks also continued for longer, until I was curled up on the floor rather than on my knees.

“You really should think twice before growling at me,” the monster said. “You didn’t even know what I was going to do. Yet, you risked being punished for it.”

He sighed.

“Well, I think I should feed you. You didn’t get anything to eat in days… you must be starving.” The monster said.

He was… going to give me food? Why would he be so kind to… No, wait. Food was only valuable to demis, especially to strays. Humans almost disregarded it. He wasn’t giving me food out of kindness; he was just keeping me alive to be tortured!

He went to the edge of the room and returned shortly after, with a bag of kibble and a dog bowl. Ah, how could I forget! Humans just loved to humiliate us demis. To them, we were little more than animals. And therefore, he would of course have me eat dogfood out of a dog-bowl, just like the animal he took me for.

Well, not going to happen. I couldn’t see any way to escape from here. And if I couldn’t escape, I didn’t see any reason to continue living either.

“I am going to remove your gag nowand tie your hands to you collar, so you can eat. Don’t try anything, we both know it won’t end well.” the monster said as he filled the bowl in front of me with kibble.

Sadly, he was right. “Arrrrrrggghhhh!” I squealed, much louder this time since there was no gag in my mouth. Damn electroshocks.

“It’s not poisoned if you think that,” the monster said without making face.

“I won’t let you **** me to some kind of animal!” I hissed, my voice hoarse from all the screaming. It was the first time I had said anything since the police captured me.

“Ahhhhhhgggrrrrr,” I whined, as another shock made me double over.

“See, that’s where you are mistaken. You are a pet already, you were borne to be one. All I am doing is showing you your proper place.” he said. It felt like he was mocking me, but he sure didn’t sound like it. He sounded as if he was simply stating an objective truth.

“Now: Eat.” He said once more.

And once more, I didn’t comply.

“Aaaaaaahhhhhrrrrrrrr,” I screamed.

[…]

It went on like this for hours. At some point, I had so little strength left that I couldn’t get up between shocks anymore. Its not like I had to, he wasn’t ordering me to like he did before. But it *did* hurt my pride.

My voice was gone too, I had literally screamed it away. My throat hurt like hell, as did my sweat covered body, from the convulsions each shock provoked. I was incredibly tired, thirsty and so hungry it hurt. In short, I was miserable. If I would still have been able to move, I might have actually eaten the kibble. Not to get rid of the electroshocks, of course, I would never let that monster win! But not eating food I knew I could have when I was so hungry… It was just against my nature as a stray. Yes, that’s it, and nothing more.

But alas, it was no use. I couldn’t move, and I couldn’t talk anymore either. He would just slowly and painfully kill me with his shocks…

“You are too weak to eat, aren’t you?” I heard a familiar, yet somewhat off voice near my left ear.

I opened one eye and looked up. The monster was right above me, crouched down by my side. His face was still emotionless, his eyes still seemed to pierce my very soul, but his voice was somewhat more gentle than before.

“Well, its no good to try and make you do something you cannot possibly accomplish,” he sighed.

The monster sat down on the floor next to me and pulled the dog bowl close. Then, he reached for me.

Every fibre of my being screamed at me to get away from him, to defend myself. But I couldn’t do as much as lift a finger.

He pulled me onto his lap, my back resting against his chest, my head on his shoulder, holding me steady with one arm slung around my waist. He tied my arms to my sides again. I didn’t understand why he would do that; I was much too weak to pose any threat. Maybe he was just paranoid.

He took a handful of kibble from the bowl and held it against my lips.

“Don’t even think of biting me, your teeth can’t penetrate the armoured glove either way.” he warned me.

“Eat” the monster ordered.

And this time, I obeyed.
