Prison time

Mia came the next day and gave you and Leyla a checkup. It turns out Edward didn't hold back and made quite a mess out of you. Leyla is in better shape and will be fine in a few days.

There is surprisingly little to do when you are locked 24/7 in a concrete room with nothing in it. Luckily, Leyla is in the same room so she can take care of you. You get food and water two times a day. You get to share the bathroom that consists of a simple squat toilet in the corner of the room. As embarrassing as it was at the start, you quickly get used to it.

Jenny finally manages to visit you five days after you were imprisoned. You get to see her face through a small opening in the door. She frowns a little when you approach the door as she no doubt smells you. Not having the opportunity to clean up for days will have this effect on people.

"What the hell did you do? Collusion with vampires? Have you lost your mind?" are the first words out of her mouth.

Five days of painful recovery. Five days of not seeing her, of not knowing anything, and this is how she greets you? You would have snapped back at her if you were not tired from all the physical pain. So instead, you take a more passive-aggressive approach.

"Hello, Jenny! Nice to see you. I'm glad you're fine." She is taken aback by your calm words, which contrast sharply with her hectic entrance. "I'm also fine, glad you ask..."

"I don't have time for this! What happened? They keep us all under house arrest. They trashed my dad's house, Max, searching for evidence. What evidence? What happened?"

"Tom is dead."

"What, how?"

"Edward killed him."

"I'll talk to her. Go sit back down," says Leyla as she comes up to you.

Mia's job was to keep you alive, but she made it clear she wasn't allowed to help you with the pain. The wounds were healing nicely, but the pain was unbearable at moments. She did manage to sneak a pill one time, but that was nothing more than evidence that Edward is trying to make you pay for what you did.

"See you next time" you smile at her as you turn and head back to the makeshift bed. You try to walk normally, as you don't want to make her worry. You are not sure if she spots your injured leg. The last thing you need is for her to act on instinct and make a stupid move like you did.

"Tom became a vampire, and I was trying to keep him safe when Edward found us. I was trying to find a solution, but he found me faster than I expected. Max tried to help me. It's all my fault. I'm sorry..." Leyla explains.

"You helped a vampire?"

"I helped Tom, my boyfriend, not any vampire!"

"Why didn't you tell anyone?"

"And get you all in trouble?"

"We are in trouble anyway! Everyone treats us like criminals. We are not allowed to move off the property, no phones, no internet, no contact with the outside, not even with our families. "

"Well, I'm sorry you are suffering."

"That's not what I mean..."

"That's it, time's up!" You hear the guard say as he closes the small flap, and you can't see Jenny anymore.

"Hey, I still had time!" you hear her argue with the guard.

"If you want to come again, you better not make any problems. You had five minutes. Time is up."

"There's no way that was five minutes!"

"If I say it is, then it is."

"Ugh!!!" You can feel her frustration, but there is nothing you can do. "Fine!" ... "I'll come back, Max!" you hear her yell as she is **** to leave.

"She looks fine..." adds Leyla.

"Yeah! It doesn't seem like Edward did anything to them."

"At least your girlfriend visited you. Do you think mom will come?"

"Of course, what kind of mother abandons her daughter when she needs help?"
