Unraveling

He gets up and you follow him. You don't have time to say goodbye to Jenny as you head straight to his car, where you find Amanda waiting. She looks tired and in deep thought. Whatever she's thinking about is clearly not a good sign for what's about to happen.

You try to get some information from her, but aside from blaming you for not taking care of her daughter, she avoids giving concrete answers.

Together you drive to the slums of the city, where you meet a pack member.

"Is she still there?" Edward asks him immediately after getting out of the car.

"Yeah. Aside from going to the store to buy food, she doesn't move."

"Good"

"What's this all about" you ask, dying to know what the hell is going on. The guy ignores you and continues to guide Edward to a run-down apartment.

You focus on the surroundings and realise that the entire area is encircled by your pack members.

Before you can fully understand what is happening, Edward kicks the door open. He clearly doesn't care about being sneaky as the door smashes against the wall with a loud bang.

Immediately after, Leyla rushes out from a bedroom, fully transformed. She stops for a moment when she realises who busted her door, before growling aggressively as she sees us step inside.

Going against her Prime and her Alpha is totally out of character, so you get even more confused. She seems intent on confronting you and keeping you away from whatever is happening behind her.

"See how she's acting, Max? Is that how you taught her to behave in front of her Alpha?"

"Don't come any closer!" Her voice is shaking a little as fear mixes with absolute resolve.

"Since when do you order me!?" Edward taunts, and Leyla jumps towards him, ready to fight with her life on the line. Sadly for her, she stands no chance as she is easily overpowered and, with a short swing of his arm, he sends her flying into a nearby couch.

Two guys from behind rush forward to try and immobilize her. She gets up from the ground before they can get to her and tries to put on a fight.

"Leyla stop!" you try to reason with her as you watch her get punched in the stomach. You would go to help her, but Edward is strategically placed, blocking you. You can understand his intentions by the way he positioned his body, ready to intervene if necessary. He made his intentions clear and you won't start a conflict just for this. It's not like her life is in danger.

She is too concentrated on the fight to realise that it's all pointless since she is already surrounded. Even if she wins against them, there's no way she will escape from this.

Seeing it's not working, you look towards Amanda for support.

"Just give up, Leyla. You're hurting yourself." Amanda chimes in.

Her words fall on deaf ears as she has no intention of surrendering but, eventually, she is pushed to the ground, and with a last spurt of power, as her face is being smashed into the ground, she pleads: "Stop him, Max, don't let him inside!"

Once things have calmed down, Edward starts walking towards the bedroom while you follow from behind.

"Max, please! ... Trust me! ... Stop them!" She yells in desperation.
