Have their own fun

It didn’t take long for the hovering items to find themselves some trouble to get into. Just down the street there was an idling brown delivery truck; the driver was across the street making a delivery. The items hovered into the truck, stashing themselves in the cargo area.

Momentarily the driver returned, started the truck and drove on to his next dropoff point. In the meantime, the gallon jug had uncapped itself and begun filling the two dollar-store spray bottles with diluted Manacite solution. By the time the driver had reached his destination, at a nearby mall, the items were ready to spring into action.

Once the driver had left the truck, both bottles hovered to the front. One began spraying the steering column, the pedals, the ignition, and even the driver’s seat, while the other hovered out of the truck and into the opened front door of a nearby department store.

The chain the store belonged to was on its last legs, financially speaking. There were more employees than customers in this particular store at this point, and most of them were in the break room. If anyone was monitoring the security camera feed to notice the spray bottle hovering through the store on its own, they were apparently taking no action.

The bottle hovered around, randomly spraying clothing items, electronic gadgets, tools, even a packet of gloves as it wandered through the store. The gloves packaging had a small nailhead-sized hole in it, just large enough for the Manacite to reach the gloves.

While the spray bottle went on its way, the gloves’ packaging tore itself open. The gloves quickly spotted the mischievous bottle spraying an empty shopping cart, which then began following a man moving toward the back of the store. Momentarily the man seemed to spot what he was looking for -- the restroom area. As he turned right to enter the men’s room, the shopping cart came to rest right in the middle of the doorway leading to the corridor outside the two restrooms. Two pairs of gloves hovered over and dropped limply into the cart.
